Pranzo Italian Horsforth
Transcript
00:00 I'm now in Horsforth Town Street, an area that I've been looking for, looking for the right premises here for probably 18 months now.
00:11 I love this area. This is my third restaurant. I knew I needed a third restaurant. I wanted to get into this area. I knew this area very well.
00:19 And I love the buzz of Town Street. I love, there's so many independent bars and restaurants.
00:26 I knew I just wanted to get involved in them. I've been to a few down here. I know a few of the owners and I just love this area.
00:34 So my first restaurant was Benridding. We have now expanded that into the centre of Ilkley, which is now a 70 seat restaurant.
00:43 Through the COVID times, I wanted another restaurant. Harrogate was the next on my radar.
00:50 So Simon Lees at Corbath Road in the middle of COVID. So that was restaurant number two.
00:56 And yes, for the last 18 months, I've been looking on Town Street, looking for the right location.
01:01 And this sort of ticks every box for me. I think I'm in the right, great spot.
01:06 Now I've got a nice outdoor space. I've got a lovely sized restaurant. And yeah, I'm very pleased with how it's outcome.
01:12 So you started cooking in Italy with your grandma, didn't you?
01:15 Yes, from a very early age. All these pictures on the wall of me and my sister making pasta with my nonna from three, four years old.
01:23 So the love of pasta started when I was very young and again, just brought up in a family of pasta lovers.
01:32 And it's just sort of spiralled from there, really. I knew I had a vision of what I wanted to achieve with Pranzo.
01:41 The menu, I've been sort of tweaking in my head for years and years and years before I opened.
01:47 I knew the dishes I wanted to create. I knew the dishes that would work.
01:52 So far in six years, the feedback's been very good with what I've created. So I'm very pleased.
