00:18 Here you can see the assembly line for the new Q6 e-tron drive in Gier.
00:22 The line was built not by an external third-party company,
00:25 but in collaboration with Audi's in-house toolmaking department.
00:29 This gives us a fresh perspective through which we can examine various aspects
00:33 and also address them anew.
00:35 You can see this, for example, in the way that automation is implemented
00:38 in the form of robots at every stage of the assembly line.
00:42 This helps us to avoid a patchwork of different technologies.
00:46 Audi Hungaria is the biggest drive factory in the world today.
00:50 Every year we manufacture around 1.7 million drives,
00:54 around 100,000 of which are electric drives.
00:57 The latest generation of e-drives are the premium platform electric drives,
01:01 which represent a new milestone for us on the road toward electrification.

01:14 The Q6 e-tron is our next major step.
01:17 In the period from 2022 to 2023, Audi Hungaria trained up around 2,000 employees
01:23 as part of the e-mobility transformation process.
01:27 The challenge we faced with the PPE was that we had to build expertise
01:31 in different and, for Audi Hungaria, new areas of competence.
01:35 For the first time in the history of Audi Hungaria,
01:38 we're manufacturing the components for complete transmission systems.

01:44 These innovations and new trends are giving rise to new job profiles in drive production,
01:49 such as specialist engineers for gearing technology, thermo-treatment and laser welding.
01:55 Sustainability is essential when it comes to logistics, too.
01:59 We use green trains to deliver our PPE drives to Ingolstadt,
02:02 where they are then installed in the Audi Q6 e-tron.
02:06 To embody the spirit of sustainability and transformation,
02:09 we use the existing infrastructure.
02:12 We have already taken over more than 17,000 square meters of space,
02:16 originally designated for ICE vehicles.
02:20 And this is how we created an assembly line with more than 80 automatic and semi-automatic stations
02:25 and a little over 100 jobs.
02:28 Built by Audi for Audi.
