00:00 If ever the weather is hot, a community in Taguig cut off the supply of Manila water because it is not affordable.
00:09 Here is my report.
00:11 A family made a bathtub in Coronadal City, the sidecar of their tricycle.
00:19 The water is still fresh from the spring.
00:21 The water is stored in a hot water tank or it is taken a bath several times a day.
00:26 But while some of the dams are still full, they are saying that they should save according to the DENR.
00:31 The DENR prohibited golf courses from using water from water concessionaires.
00:37 This is even though most golf courses have their own water tank.
00:41 It's not just golf courses, there are gardens, cleaning of clubhouses, etc.
00:47 I hope it will help in saving water consumption.
00:51 They need to save to avoid rotational water interruption.
00:56 Last July, the rainfall expected to fill the Angat Dam was caused by the domestic water of Metro Manila and irrigation of Bulacan and Pampanga.
01:04 The water level in Angat Dam is still falling to 185.65 meters from 186.10 meters yesterday.
01:12 Without rotational water interruption, almost 2,000 residents of Palar Village in Taguig City are now being provided with water.
01:19 Manila Water cut their supply in their area with more than P5 million in debt from their People's Organization, Innerport Neighborhood.
01:28 The group was forced to pay for Manila Water because they are using bulk metering or they don't have their own metro.
01:35 The Basis Conversion Development Authority or BCDA is the owner of their land.
01:39 It is estimated that Manila Water is paying double of their cost but Innerport Neighborhood did not remit their payment.
01:47 They paid P650,000 last week but Manila Water said that the capital is not enough to reconnect again.
01:57 We are still trying to get the group's money but they are not giving their consent.
02:02 Because of the hot weather, there is no water coming out of the wells in the Pangasinan areas.
02:07 Some water suppliers are also waiting for the water supply.
02:10 They have almost nothing to use, especially during peak hours.
02:13 There is really nothing to use. Sometimes, it's just mineral.
02:17 According to Water for Kalasaw, they are fixing the water lines.
02:20 The pressure of the water is also affected whenever there is a power interruption.
02:24 We are doing preventive maintenance. We are focused on the maintenance of our pumping station.
