A smiling face and curious eyes, Michel Brault, master of canadian cinema is well known, through the world for having created a new way of shooting. Endeed he brought to Europe in the Sixties the Cinema verité that hed rather call cinema direct. Director, script writher, cameraman and producer this eclectique man doesnt seem to be 81 years old. Here in Toronto is giving a Muster Class for the Festival Cinefranco at the National Film Board. Along with his speech some pictures of his musterpiece are shown to illustrat his work, such as Les raquetters, a documentary of 1958, ahead of his time, specially for the speady mouvment of the camera, or even La Lutte and Les Ordres wich won the Palm for the best direction in Cannes in 1974.
