00:12 The town's annual Green Man Festival got underway this morning with a parade of Morrissides

00:16 led of course by the mystical Green Man himself wound its way through the town.

00:21 Close on 20 Morrissides were taking part in the event and the centre of Buffy echoed with

00:25 a cacophony of banging drums, beating sticks and the shrill tingle of bells plus the heady

00:29 mix of music and a lot of raucous laughter too.

00:35 Although a relatively recent addition to the town's yearly events the festival has now

00:38 become an integral part of the calendar.

00:41 The merrymaking continues in Buffy until 5 o'clock this afternoon.
