00:24 He said the ministry will only evacuate Malaysians in the Middle East if the National Security
00:29 Council orders them to do so.
00:31 He said the welfare of Malaysians is a top priority for the government.
00:35 There are 38 Malaysians, including embassy staff in Iran and between 2,000 and 3,000
00:41 in Jordan, of whom are mostly students.
00:44 About 800 Malaysians are staying in Lebanon.
00:51 On April 19, Israel launched an attack on Iran in the latest tit-for-tat exchange between
00:56 the two nations.
00:58 This came after Iranian airstrikes of drones and missiles on Israel on April 13, following
01:03 the April 1 Israeli attack on its embassy in Syria.
