Porsche plant in Leipzig receives ‘Factory of the Year' award

Yesterday (14 March), the Kearney consulting firm, in conjunction with Süddeutscher Verlag Veranstaltungen and the trade magazine Produktion, named the Porsche factory in Leipzig its Factory of the Year.

00:00Fabrik des Jahres, we are really happy that we were able to win the title last year.

00:09I am proud of the team, I am proud of the location and it was a confirmation of our work at Porsche Leipzig.

00:23Of course I am also very happy and very proud of the team at Gerd Rupp here in Leipzig.

00:28We all know that we have a high demand for smart, lean and green.

00:33We are of course realizing dreams and that is where innovation is part of it.

00:39I think the important thing is that we really have a very clear strategy.

00:42We also presented our systematics via the smart factory, which innovations we derive from it.

00:48We were able to show many examples in the implementation, which have characterized the productivity of the company.

00:56How we manage the complex production with us, with which tools, with which processes, I think was decisive in the end.

01:06You can only achieve the whole thing as a team. Car building is team sport.

01:10In all areas of expertise and also in all hierarchical levels. An absolute key factor for me.

01:15And that's why you can only say thank you and say, hey, you did great, you are a great team.

01:21And Leipzig also shows in their daily doing that they are always at the forefront.

01:25And to fight for us to stay at this level in the future and continue to play in the Champions League.
