A tornado touched down in southern Louisiana injuring several people.
Footage released by the Slidell Police Department shows the damage caused by the tornado on on Wednesday.
The video shows multiple buildings that sustained severe damage, power lines down and emergency crews attending to the scene.
The National Weather Service later confirmed that the area was hit by a category EF-1 tornado with winds anywhere from 86 mph (138 kph) to 110 miles per hour (177 kph).
