Tales of Argosa (aka Low Fantasy Gaming 2e) is a Sword & Sorcery inspired Emergent Play Adventure Game, for groups or solo. Adventures are short, sharp, and focused on dangerous wilds, treacherous cities, fierce battles, daring exploits, perilous magic, fabulous treasures, and cosmic weird.

Deck of signs

* Open Question Oracle for when you need more than a yes or no answer to spark that sweet sweet Emergent Play.
* 50 uniquely themed, beautifully illustrated poker sized cards.
* 4 keywords per card: a Noun (top left), Verb (top right), Adjective (bottom left) and Ambience/Vibe/Tone (bottom right).
* 200 keywords with thousands of possible combinations.

Consult the bones

* The latest iteration of our Yes-No-But Die
* Yes-No-Fortune Oracle comprising 4 dice: the Hammer of Judgment (red die, 3 x Yes icons, 3 x No icons, acts as a tie breaker), the Twins of Fate (two identical white dice; 2 x Yes icons, 2 x No icons, 2 x blank), and the Fortune die (black die, 2 x Sun icons, 2 x Skull icons, 2 x blanks).
* Produces a range of yes or no answers, eg a weak no, strong yes, etc.
* Able to accommodate likely or unlikely outcomes.
* Additional Fortune (benefit) or Misfortune (complication) effect, if desired.

Activity Die

The Activity Die is used alongside 2d6 Reaction Rolls to give encounters more context for the GM to riff off (per p.66 of the Playtest PDF). In testing we originally used a third d6 (of a different colour) for Activity, but the icons work better (results are immediately obvious, no need to check the table).

* 9 Classes Artificer (or Alchemist variant), Barbarian, Bard, Cultist, Fighter, Monk, Ranger, Rogue & Magic User; only two of which involve magic.
* 9th Level max caps PC power levels.
* Flatter HP Curve Most PCs will have approx 10-40 hit points over their nine levels.
* Unique Features Every 3rd level design your own PC ability in conjunction with your GM, or choose from 40+ examples.
* Roll Under for Attribute checks, making every stat point matter. Degrees of success via Great Successes and Terrible Failures.
