00:00 Lava Blaze Curve 5G has been launched in India for Rs 18,000.
00:04 And according to me, this could be one of the best curved display phones of 2024.
00:10 Under Rs 18,000.
00:11 Because along with its amazing features, Lava has also kept its pricing quite high.
00:16 I have tested everything from camera to design and display for you guys.
00:20 But the Lava Agni 2 which was launched last year,
00:24 is available on Amazon at almost the same price.
00:27 So some people are getting confused that both have the same processor,
00:31 both have the same curved display,
00:33 and both are 5G phones.
00:36 But there is a difference.
00:38 So which phone will be better in which matter?
00:40 I will tell you one by one.
00:42 Let's start with the design.
00:44 Both come in matte glass finish.
00:46 But the Blaze Curve is a little small, compact,
00:50 and I liked its in-hand feel better if you have small hands.
00:54 Because in one hand usage, it definitely felt quite comfortable.
00:59 You can see that my hands are quite small.
01:01 But if your hand size is big,
01:04 then definitely you won't have any problem with either of the phones.
01:07 Overall, I liked both the phones look-wise.
01:11 You can see some slight fingerprints in it.
01:14 But it's definitely fun to hold the phone because there is a glass back here.
01:17 Now if we talk about the display,
01:19 it's FHD+ and you will get 120Hz of both.
01:22 Along with that, Widevine L1 support.
01:24 But as I was telling you that Blaze Curve is a little compact
01:28 in comparison to Agni 2,
01:30 then definitely the reason for this is the size of the display.
01:33 Blaze Curve is 6.67 inches
01:35 and Agni 2 is slightly bigger, 6.78 inches.
01:39 Also, according to Lava, you get 10-bit color in Agni 2.
01:43 And there is no mention of any such thing in Blaze Curve.
01:46 So I am guessing that it will be an 8-bit display.
01:48 But I will test the brightness of both and show you.
01:51 So you check the brightness.
01:53 Pause the video and check the brightness of Curve.
01:58 And then we will test Lava Agni 2.
02:02 You won't see much difference indoors.
02:05 But it will definitely be a little brighter outdoors.
02:08 Blaze Curve.
02:09 I will do a speaker test for you guys.
02:12 [Music]
02:25 Now, you might be thinking that
02:27 there is not much difference between these two.
02:30 I mean, yes, there is a little difference in size.
02:33 But now let's come to the storage.
02:35 Now, Lava Blaze Curve launch is so cheap because
02:39 the storage of the base variant is 128 GB.
02:43 But when Lava Agni 2 was launched,
02:46 it had 256 GB storage with the same processor.
02:52 And now the prices of both have become the same.
02:54 So you will think that Lava Agni 2 will be better.
02:57 But there is a catch because
02:58 there is an improvement in storage.
03:01 The storage type here is UFS 3.1 of Blaze Curve.
03:05 And in Agni 2, you get UFS 2.2 storage.
03:09 Now, it will make a difference in speed
03:11 that your Blaze Curve will be fast.
03:13 Even though it has a 128 GB storage.
03:16 When you are doing data from here to there
03:18 and your phone is reading and writing
03:20 processing from its CPU,
03:22 then Lava Blaze Curve will definitely take the lead in that matter.
03:25 But if storage is very important to you
03:29 and the prices are the same,
03:30 then Agni 2 can be a better pick.
03:33 And which one is more important to you?
03:35 Tell me in the comments below.
03:37 The next major difference is
03:38 in the battery and charging speed of both.
03:41 In Blaze Curve, you get a 33W charger.
03:44 And with Agni 2, you get a 66W charger.
03:47 Which is very fast in this segment.
03:49 So the charging speed of Agni 2 will definitely be fast.
03:53 But the battery of Agni 2 is 4700 mAh.
03:57 And Lava Blaze Curve is 5000 mAh.
04:00 Now, even though its charging speed is low,
04:02 but the efficiency of the battery is going to be better.
04:05 Your phone will definitely run a little extra.
04:07 Guess why?
04:08 I'll give you 3 seconds.
04:09 3, 2, 1.
04:11 Because there is a difference in display size.
04:13 The display is small, curved.
04:15 And the battery is also a little extra.
04:17 So it will run a little longer if it is optimised properly.
04:20 Because both have the same processor.
04:22 If charging speed is your priority,
04:24 then Agni 2 will be a better pick.
04:25 But if you want to run the battery for a longer time,
04:28 then your Blaze Curve will be a little better.
04:31 Now, the next thing is the warranty.
04:34 Because when you buy a new phone,
04:36 it becomes very important to know about the warranty and servicing.
04:40 You get free home service on both phones.
04:43 But Agni 2 gets an edge here.
04:47 Because you also get free home replacement here.
04:50 By chance, if there is any problem with your hardware internally,
04:54 if your phone is not damaged and is in good condition,
04:57 if there are no dents or major scratches,
05:00 then your phone will be replaced without any issues.
05:04 So, in terms of warranty, it has gone ahead.
05:07 The numbers in service are the same.
05:09 Now, if 5G is very important for you,
05:11 then both phones support 5G.
05:14 In Blaze Curve, you will see all the bands used in India.
05:17 But Agni 2 has a few extra bands.
05:19 By the way, if you don't have much of a traveling scene,
05:22 you won't go anywhere outside,
05:23 where you get support from 5G bands from Lava Agni 2,
05:26 then it won't make a big difference.
05:28 But you can see how important 5G is for you,
05:31 how much you use it in your daily life.
05:34 And what else, these extra bands that I have shown you,
05:37 of Lava Agni 2, wherever you are traveling,
05:39 will they be useful or not?
05:41 So, Lava Agni 2 definitely has a slight edge.
05:44 But then, it all depends on
05:46 if you are going to live in India,
05:48 then there won't be any problem in both.
05:50 Anyway, now let's talk about the cameras.
05:52 So, here, first of all, I will show you a small sample.
05:57 Of Lava Blaze Curve.
05:59 So, right now, I am shooting with the front camera
06:01 of Lava Curve 5G.
06:03 And here, we get 1080p 30fps video recording.
06:07 The stabilization is off on the front camera.
06:09 I will show you by doing a little walking test.
06:11 You can also check out the colors,
06:12 how the blues of the bench behind me look.
06:15 I will quickly take you closer to the blue color.
06:18 You can check how the blue color looks from the front camera.
06:20 The background noise of the construction behind me is going on.
06:22 So, you will get an idea of noise cancellation.
06:25 I haven't given any other option.
06:26 Check out the skin tones, how they look.
06:28 We are doing normal walking right now.
06:30 I will also do a little running test with the front camera.
06:32 So, now I have turned on the stabilization.
06:35 The video is still being recorded on 1080p 30fps.
06:38 But, the video has been cropped a little.
06:40 We get EIS stabilization in this,
06:43 in the front camera.
06:44 So, you can check, I am doing a little walking.
06:46 And now, I will do a little running.
06:49 You will get an idea of how the colors are coming.
06:51 And also, how the stabilization is.
06:53 When I do running on 1080p 30fps with the front camera.
06:58 So, now I am shooting on 4K 30fps with the rear camera.
07:01 You can check out the colors.
07:03 How the greens look, how the blues look.
07:07 And, how the pink color looks.
07:09 And, how the auto focus is.
07:11 We also get the option of 2x.
07:13 So, the colors look so vibrant on 2x.
07:17 And, you can see the color change, color shift.
07:19 I have down the exposure a little.
07:21 I am getting a little grainy video here.
07:24 But, apart from it, you can check out the colors on 1x.
07:28 Now, I have changed the video mode.
07:30 I am shooting on 1080p 60fps with the rear camera.
07:34 The main camera here.
07:35 You can check out the colors.
07:37 I will also test the stabilization.
07:39 How 1080p 60fps looks.
07:42 I am doing normal walking now.
07:43 And, now I will do a little running.
07:45 Check and tell me how the stabilization is looking.
07:48 And, the wide angle lens at the end.
07:51 You can use that on 1080p 30fps.
07:54 So, you have seen the videos of the Lava Blaze Curve.
07:57 But, now let's go to the photos.
07:59 And, along with that, we will do a little comparison with the Lava Agni 2.
08:04 There is a major difference in the selfies.
08:06 The Agni 2 has a 16MP front camera.
08:09 And, the Blaze Curve has a 32MP front camera.
08:12 And, not just in megapixels, you can see the difference in colors and quality.
08:17 Apart from the photos, there is a lot of difference in the videos on both the phones.
08:21 And, if you want to see the detailed testing, you know what to do.
08:24 Who knows, maybe in the case of videos, some other phone turns out to be better.
08:29 In the photos, the Agni 2 gives faded colors.
08:33 But, the Blaze Curve keeps it close to natural.
08:36 In the portrait selfie, the Agni 2 does more background blur.
08:39 But, if you look at it color wise, the Blaze Curve is better.
08:44 And, against the light, both retain the sky.
08:47 But, sharpness and color wise, the Blaze Curve's selfies are better.
08:51 And, when I clicked the portrait in the selfie in the against the light,
08:55 the Agni 2 washed out the sky's color.
08:57 But, the Blaze Curve maintained it.
09:00 So, definitely, in the case of selfies, the Blaze Curve is better.
09:04 And, here I would like to say that the one point missing in the Lava Agni 2,
09:09 which was color accuracy, has improved a lot in the new Lava Blaze Curve.
09:14 If you've worked hard, then definitely, a shoutout is made here.
09:18 Now, even from the rear camera, the Blaze Curve keeps the photos close to natural.
09:23 And, the Agni 2 takes saturated pictures.
09:26 The leaves behind are green, they look extra green.
09:29 Also, Itadhori's hair is extra pink.
09:31 So, I've shown you all the testing.
09:34 I've also told you the differences between the two.
09:36 Which one do you think is more value for money?
09:39 And, why? Tell me in the comments below.
09:41 If you still have doubts and want to see the detailed camera comparison of both,
09:46 then tell me about it in the comments below.
09:48 And, I'll meet you all in the next video.
