July Rhapsody is a 2002 Hong Kong drama film directed by Ann Hui On-wah (許鞍華) and produced by Ann Hui and Derek Yee Tung-sing (爾冬陞). The top billed cast has Jacky Cheung Hok-yau (張學友) and Anita Mui Yim-fong (梅艷芳) as key roles, and Karena Lam Kar-yan (林嘉欣), Shaun Tam Chun-yin (譚俊彥) and Eric Kot Man-fai (葛民輝) as support roles.

Lam Yiu-kwok (Jacky), a Hong Kong secondary school teacher is facing a mid-life crisis. While he has only his pride and Chinese poetry to fall back on, his peers are successful businessmen and professionals who flaunt their extravagant lifestyles at reunion dinners. After many years, Yiu-kwok is still living in a modest apartment with his wife, Chan Man-ching and two teenage sons. However financial stagnancy is not his only problem. An old flame of Man-ching (who was the couple's former schoolteacher) returns to Hong Kong and uncovers old wounds. Man-ching feels obliged to help her ex-lover, Sheng Sai-nin (庹宗華 Tuo Tsung-hua). Meanwhile, Yiu-kwok faces another dilemma: Woo Choy-lam (Karena), a precocious student, has a crush on him and the 'forbidden fruit' looks more and more tempting in the light of his wife's 'infidelity'. Will he succumb to young charms and let history repeat itself?
