00:00 The highest special grocery discount for senior citizens and persons with disabilities is effective on Monday, March 25.
00:08 The Joint Administrative Order was signed by the Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Energy yesterday.
00:17 From the current 65 pesos per week, it has been increased to 125 pesos or a total of 500 pesos discount per month.
00:25 Aside from grocery items that are considered basic necessities and prime commodities,
00:31 vegetables, fruits, and rice are also included in the discount, except for special rice.
00:37 There is also a 5% discount every 5 months on LPG.
00:41 To avoid abuse of this benefit, it should not be less than 4 different types of items to be purchased.
00:49 The PWD or Senior Citizen ID and Purchase Booklet must be brought to avail the special discount.
