Rio residents worry as new heat wave hits Brazil

As a scorching heat wave sweeps through Brazil, folks in Rio de Janeiro flock to parks for cool shade. In western Rio, temperatures soared to a record high of 60.1 C on Saturday, March 16, 2024 the hottest since measurements began in 2014. On Sunday, March 17, 2024, most areas of the city saw thermometers hitting between 37 and 38 C
