00:00 Last year, milk tea, do you like it Aldrin?
00:04 Yes, I like milk tea.
00:06 This is the most popular drink in the country, especially for young professionals.
00:13 That's why a milk tea business was visited by the RSP team.
00:18 And to find out what the owner, attorney Lawrence Gatpolitan, has to say about this, let's watch this.
00:38 Milk tea, also known as pearl milk tea, bubble tea, boba tea, and many more are said to be the first to be invented in Taiwan.
00:49 And since then, we can't help but believe that milk tea has taken the world by storm.
00:54 Because of that, we went to a milk tea business to find out their secret to a successful business.

01:13 Alright, attorney to start off, can you tell us more about your business journey?
01:16 We started 11 years ago.
01:20 My mom and my sister, they are the ones who are fond of sweets.
01:24 They were the ones who encouraged us to venture into a milk tea business because they liked the milk tea product of Thailand.
01:32 What were your struggles and challenges along the way?
01:34 Not everyone affords to buy this kind of drink.
01:38 Actually, our prices are reasonable, but not every day do people want to eat sweets.
01:46 People are still getting fed up with it.
01:51 So what my mom does is she innovates new blends that will be popular with many people.
01:59 Do you have any lessons that you learned along the way together with your family?
02:05 We should be hands-on in our business.
02:08 If you take care of your store and you like what you do, the result will be fruitful.
02:14 You're a lawyer, your sister is a doctor. How is that possible?
02:18 Time management is number one.
02:20 In my profession, my mom is the one who gives me important hearings.
02:30 When I have free time, I go to the stores to manage.
02:34 Same goes with my sister.
02:36 Actually, I spend more time in business, that's why I'm an attorney at least.
02:40 I'm not an attorney.
02:42 What did you expand with the business?
02:46 We focused on the branch.
02:48 We didn't want to franchise it.
02:51 But many people were legalizing it because they liked our blends.
02:56 That's when the business really grew.
03:00 Many people wanted to franchise from the South and North.
03:03 We know there are so many milk teas out there in the market, but what sets you apart?
03:08 The advantage for us is the taste buds.
03:11 You know the taste buds of the people who like to drink.
03:13 My mom and I, we taste a lot of drinks before we sell them to people.
03:21 Even if we have a high cost per drink, even if we earn a small amount per drink,
03:26 we make sure that we produce quality products.
03:31 Why is it important for Filipinos to do business?
03:34 More business, more job opportunities.
03:38 You're not only helping yourself for a revenue side, but you're also helping others to have their own jobs.
03:45 Can you tell us more about the milk tea that we see here right now?
03:49 The first one is Supreme Choco Malt.
03:52 It's our bestseller in the milk tea base.
03:54 It has cream puffs, then salted cream cheese, and our Choco Malt.
04:01 It's good!
04:05 It's delicious.
04:06 It's superb!
