00:05 with her Beverly Hills 90210 co-star,

00:07 Jenny Garth, back in the day.

00:10 While speaking with fellow 90210 alum, Brian Austin Green,

00:13 on her Let's Be Clear podcast,

00:15 Doherty opens up about a prank game

00:17 Jenny would pull on set, but some weren't ready to play.

00:21 She was doing, she was calling it Pants Down Day,

00:24 where she would pull the pants on some of the crew members

00:29 in a funny way.

00:30 But some of them were getting pretty annoyed with it.

00:33 So Shannon says she decided to turn the tables on Jenny

00:36 and the result was explosive.

00:38 Then I reversed it and I said, "Skirt Up Day."

00:42 And she always wore the men's Calvin Klein boxer shorts

00:47 under her clothes, so I didn't think it was that big

00:49 of a deal, and so I did Skirt Up Day and oh my God,

00:55 she lost it on me and I was just not in the mood

01:00 to back down.

01:02 Ian and I were there and so we were the two that stepped

01:05 into the kind of the middle of it

01:07 to keep it from escalating.

01:16 on the hit 90s series, and Brian, who played David Silver,

01:19 talk about how the pressure on the young women on set

01:22 was different for the young men.

01:24 You guys were always very supportive of each other

01:27 and congratulating each other,

01:30 and it wasn't necessarily the same with the girls.

01:33 I remember it got really rough and competitive for you all.

01:38 Jenny did previously open up about this particular aspect

01:42 of her time on the show in a 2021 episode of her

01:45 and fellow 90210 alum Tori Spelling's 90210MG podcast.

01:50 She said at the time, "The show brought out

01:52 a super competitive part of me.

01:54 Being in that environment of being judged

01:56 because of my looks or how I looked in an outfit,

01:58 it was just a different day and age,

02:00 and it gave us young girls a lot of mixed messages.

02:03 I, for many years, struggled with it."

02:05 She added, "If I'm honest, I think the show kind of taught me

02:08 to be threatened by other girls,

02:10 be threatened by other women, and be more competitive

02:13 because I wanted our co-stars' approval or attention."
