Liverpool Council's cabinet is drawing up plans to utilise a further five temporary accommodation schemes in a bid to meet the city's homelessness crisis. 860 people are currently in temporary accommodation in Liverpool, with more than 500 in B&Bs.

The Women's Organisation will not officially observe International Women's Day on March 8th. The charity said the day has been "hijacked" by organisations superficially through one-off events and marketing, while their day-to-day practices consistently neglect the challenges faced by women.
