00:02 Nissan has a strong heritage of yellow.
00:09 When we launched the Duke minor change,
00:12 we introduced yellow for the first time on that product,
00:15 which proved very popular.
00:17 When we launched the Duke in 2019,
00:21 there were many comments from the audience
00:24 as to where is the yellow Duke,
00:26 which is why we've brought yellow back for 2024.
00:30 When we were developing the color,
00:35 we christened it iconic yellow.
00:37 It's a very vibrant color,
00:39 which we feel gives it a very iconic look.
00:43 We wanted to bring the iconic yellow
00:46 from the outside to the inside of the car.
00:49 And ways of doing that are through the use of Alcantara
00:53 and also contains some recycled content.
00:56 And that used in combination with a strong,
01:02 energetic quilting pattern on the seats.
01:05 Yellow stitching,
01:08 which is also a feature of the instrument panel.
01:11 Those materials combine to bring a very sporty,
01:19 modern, premium grade for N Sport Duke.
01:23 - One of the most important factors in a car,
01:27 the fact that you have a bigger screen,
01:29 that you have better access to your functions,
01:32 that looks actually way bigger than the previous one.
01:35 We tried a lot of the versions
01:41 and we just had to tilt a little bit
01:43 so you have a kind of a more driver-oriented screen.
01:47 The access is much better.
01:49 We captured all the playful
01:50 and all the kind of dramatic aspects and design elements
01:53 to enhance the premium feeling of this minor change,
01:56 but also at the same time,
01:57 keeping the Dukeness feel, which is very important.
02:00 With the yellow stripes and the carbon fiber materials,
02:03 it feels a lot more comfortable.
02:04 It's quite impressive.
02:06 - Interestingly in design,
02:11 we sometimes target younger demographic
02:14 for the certain color or package or design.
02:17 But I have a feeling the appeal will be quite wide.
02:19 I mean, imagine the world is full of boring cars,
02:24 which it might be.
02:25 And Duke is Duke.
02:28 It's not a boring car.
02:29 It's its own personality.
02:31 It has been from day one.
02:32 So we have some beautiful colors already on the car,
02:36 but we wanted that extra bang,
02:38 like a splash of color, exuberance, if you like.
02:41 (upbeat music)
02:43 - That's why when you look around the car,
02:50 particularly on the interior,
02:51 we've just highlighted the interior with the yellow.
02:54 We haven't overdone it
02:55 because we have to live with these colors.
02:57 So the exterior has this massive impact.
02:59 But actually when you go onto the interior,
03:01 it's picked out with a bit more craftsmanship.
03:03 - You've got this amazing cockpit.
03:06 It's all focusing on the driver.
03:08 And I love the way that it's wrapped around with this accent
03:11 and it kind of matches the exterior
03:13 that has this really dynamic, great stance,
03:15 you know, jump in it, wanna drive anywhere.
03:18 We have to really think, you know,
03:19 how do we maximize the Duke DNA?
03:22 And I think by adding these expressive colors,
03:24 really cool aerodynamic efficient wheels,
03:27 this super iconic and expressive interior
03:29 with this super new instrument panel
03:31 with all the technology,
03:32 I think that really accentuates what Duke stands for.
