00:34 and what overall impact the music should have on the scene.

00:48 - The '60s was nothing compared to the '70s.

00:51 The '60s was just like a warmup for what was gonna come.

00:55 I was 23 and I had my first record deal

00:58 and life was good.

01:05 So we could do what we liked and we did.

01:11 especially in the drinking department.

01:12 - You're on stage and you're playing for thousands of people

01:14 and you get in that rush and people applauding

01:17 and you walk up a stage to nothing.

01:18 There's a deep emptiness and loneliness,

01:21 that hole that everybody tries to fill

01:22 with one thing or another.

01:24 - And I remember saying to myself,

01:26 do you know what, you really are an alcoholic.

01:28 - He was unwound and we all are when we get here

01:33 and then we begin to grow.

01:35 - What really knocked me out is when I heard

01:37 that Snuff started doing television.

01:39 - And when the credits went and it said Snuffy Walden,

01:42 what, Snuffy, how did he do that?

01:46 - Snuffy revolutionized the way

01:48 that television sound sounded.

01:51 - What a lifetime, what a story, what a journey.
