00:10 President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. signs Republic Act No. 11982 into law compelling the government to hand out 10,000 pesos in cash to Filipinos who have reached the age of 80, and every five years thereafter until they reach 95.
00:26 Once they cross the 100-year mark, the cash gift balloons to 100,000 pesos, a provision from the 2016 law that remains untouched.
