Everton boss Sean Dyche admitted his frustration at the delays in the appeal process over their 10 point Premier League deduction ahead of their game with Brighton

00:00 Have you had any update as regards the appeal process and when you're likely to get a verdict?
00:04 No, we haven't got a clue or I certainly haven't at the moment. The guidelines that you suggest
00:09 and we suggest have been around about the end of the month so we'll just have to wait and see.
00:13 Is that the same situation as regards the takeover as well?
00:16 I don't know any more on that. I've told you I've had one brief meeting and that's it.
00:19 You know, it's certainly not in my hands. It's way in the hands of the powers that be
00:23 checking all their due diligence. I don't think that's changed. I think it's an ongoing process as far as I know.
00:27 Because of those two situations though, it does feel like the club is in a little bit of limbo
00:32 and that surely can't be helpful for yourself, can't be helpful for the players.
00:36 I don't know the legalities of appeals and all that of course, but I think it's in everyone's interest.
00:42 Firstly our own of course, but I think the greater good of football, I think everyone's wondering.
00:46 They're all scratching their heads on the first one, so they're all sort of saying,
00:49 "Well, when is it going to come to a close?" And during that period of course, you still look at a league table
00:54 that they adjusted immediately and took 10 points away, but we don't know whether that 10 points is fact still.
00:58 So, you know, therefore it would be helpful if it's sooner rather than later.
01:02 But as I said, I don't know how the legal process, you know, the times goes and why it takes so long.
01:07 So we just have to wait and see.
01:08 Does that mean then that the uncertainty is beginning to impact yourself and the players?
01:12 No, I don't think so. I think the players have been working very hard, very diligently,
01:17 very pleased with what they're doing on a daily basis and the game profiles.
01:20 When we get it right, a few times we haven't.
01:24 So I don't think it is in a literal way of everyday business, but I'm sure at the back of their minds,
01:30 they're still wondering, you know, "Come on then, when are you going to tell us where we're at
01:34 and give us more of a factual kind of view of it?"
01:38 But as I told you originally, we were of the same mindset. It is where it is and that's it.
01:42 So we look at where it is now and then see what comes.
01:44 And unfortunately, that process is taking some time.
