00:00 Well, we've started the week with the nifty hitting record highs.
00:03 Let's quickly have the heat map if we can.
00:06 There you go, a third of a percent higher, 80 points higher.
00:09 You have the likes of Agrasim, the Bajaj twins, Finsev Auto,
00:14 as well as Finance.
00:15 There you go, 1.4% higher.
00:17 We're on a bit of a tear today, 2% higher on both of those.
00:21 But outside of that, you had contributions
00:23 coming in, valuable ones, from ICICI Bank and Bharti Et al.
00:27 as well.
00:28 In terms of the losers, L&T, right from the offing,
00:31 was in the red and roughly 1% lower.
00:33 We've settled 1.4% lower.
00:35 Life insurers were struggling right
00:37 from the start of the day itself.
00:39 Coal India, though, slipped up in trade after production cut,
00:43 or rather guidance was trimmed for FY24.
00:46 That was the larger theme we were playing with.
00:49 Let's have a look at the contributories.
00:51 And what we'll see, therefore, is ICICI Bank was your top,
00:56 in terms of points contributed, RIL, Bharti following suit.
01:00 But among the losers, not much.
01:03 You had L&T just about contributing 13 points.
01:05 Outside of that, nothing to complain about at all.
01:08 So that's how we were placed.
01:10 Now, in terms of where the mid-caps and small-caps was,
01:13 if we can have the advance decline to indicate where--
01:17 there you go.
01:17 We have that 1240 advances to 750 declines,
01:21 not a bad market at all.
01:23 The breadth was strongly in favor of the advances,
01:26 as you can see.
01:27 Also, if we can switch over with regard
01:29 to where the mid-caps and small-cap index closed,
01:32 the mid-cap closed a third of a percent higher.
01:34 Small-cap also roughly a half a percent higher
01:38 on the nifty small-cap.
01:39 So we had them largely trading--
01:42 broader markets largely trading in line with the benchmark.
01:45 Sectoral indices, quick wrap on that one.
01:48 You have the FMCG, the pharma, which led gains today.
01:51 Consumption did well as well.
01:53 So you had your consumer durable stocks
01:55 doing very, very well.
01:56 In fact, nifty consumer durables was up almost a percent.
02:00 Among the losers, Realty, which has had a really good run
02:03 anyway, PSU Bank, also around half a percent lower.
02:06 Again, that one has had a fantastic run
02:09 over the last couple of months.
