00:00 >> Yeah, probably similar to last sort of couple of games at home.
00:07 We didn't start the game well.
00:08 First half wasn't great.
00:09 We controlled the game well enough, but we just weren't threatening enough.
00:13 And we didn't really sort of capitalize on moments we had and
00:19 even without pressing it wasn't the usual level.
00:23 So, yeah, then you're chasing the game and they're a good team on the counter.
00:27 So they kind of set up that way and second half we kind of,
00:31 yeah, we had them camped sort of in their half and sometimes in their box.
00:36 And certainly, yeah, it creates some decent opportunities.
00:40 But then, obviously, you can see the second and
00:43 then you're kind of chasing a game of football and we couldn't overcome it today.
00:49 >> You've had a lot of injuries throughout the season.
00:52 How hard is it to get both fullbacks and the subs to keep up?
00:57 >> Well, yeah, like I said, we've had a lot of injuries this year.
01:00 We've certainly performed better than that when we've had injuries.
01:03 So I don't think that's the reason.
01:06 I think, like I said,
01:06 we just had general level of performance wasn't where it should be.
01:09 >> You mentioned that a few of the home games now have been on the side of those
01:13 ones, what do you think of that now?
01:14 >> Yeah, I mean, that's probably been the last couple of home games we haven't.
01:21 So, the beginning of the year we did, so we're not doing anything different.
01:25 It's just sometimes, yeah, mindset into going into games,
01:29 sometimes it's the opposition, sometimes it's just the context of the football game.
01:34 But certainly for us to kind of sort of dominate games what we want to,
01:41 really does mean we need to start aggressively and
01:47 sort of try and put the opposition on the back foot.
01:50 And we haven't really done that last two or three games.
01:54 And I said before that we were doing that and
01:59 that kind of gave us a foothold in games that we're not getting at the moment.
02:02 >> [INAUDIBLE]
02:12 >> I wouldn't think so.
02:15 No, I mean, he's ready, he's fit.
02:17 I don't think it's about, if we're looking for
02:22 individuals, we're not that team.
02:25 We're not at that level to rely on individuals to win us games of football.
02:31 For us, what's got us to this point is the collective.
02:34 We've worked really hard as a team.
02:38 We've kind of been really committed to something and
02:42 that's what's got us to kind of the point we are now.
02:46 We're not a team that's got individuals in it that are gonna win games of football on
02:50 their own, that we don't have those players, we're not that kind of team.
02:53 >> [INAUDIBLE]
03:03 >> No, I don't think we do.
03:10 I don't think we concede.
03:12 I mean, today we conceded two, three probably good chances on the counter
03:15 attack, I think one of them was offside.
03:17 But against Wolves, you're gonna sort of, that's gonna happen.
03:22 But a lot of that's just sort of game state.
03:25 Like I said, if you get a foothold in the game and put the opposition under pressure,
03:29 then limits the opportunities they have the other way.
03:31 So, but ultimately, when you're not successful,
03:36 mate, everything looks like it's garbage.
03:39 But that's not the way I look at football.
03:40 The same way I didn't think we were great, super great leading into this game.
03:44 So for us, we're still trying to build something, as I keep saying,
03:48 laying some foundations.
03:49 I think a lot of our defensive work this year has been outstanding, to be honest.
03:54 And considering the players we have in there, the experience they have,
03:59 I think it's been one of our strengths and
04:04 we'll keep trying to improve in all areas of our game.
04:08 >> Given what you said about your recent performances,
04:11 is actually a bit of a break now, a blessing?
04:13 And what would you do with the time?
04:17 >> I don't know if it's a blessing.
04:18 It's just it is what it is.
04:19 We'll just work hard.
04:21 We've got two weeks to prepare for the next game, no point sort of feeling sorry for
04:27 ourselves, you take the blows and you've got to move on irrespective of what happened.
04:32 What's happened in the past, you gotta make sure you're ready for the next game.
04:36 We've got two weeks, it's a different kind of build up for us.
04:39 But we'll use these two weeks to make sure we're ready for the next game at home.
04:43 >> But are there tricks psychologically as a manager that you can use to bulk
04:47 yourselves out of this form and keep firing again?
04:50 >> Out of this form, one game?
04:51 >> Or last three games you just had.
04:53 >> Yeah, but we won, there's a difference between form and performances.
04:57 >> Last three performances, I apologise for the use of the word form.
04:59 >> Yeah. >> Last three performances,
05:01 are there psychological tricks?
05:04 >> No, not really.
05:05 There's no tricks, it's hard work.
05:06 If I'm not a magician, I'm a football manager.
05:09 So it's hard work, which these guys have done all year.
05:12 And like I said, we've got to this point,
05:15 which is pretty decent on the back of some hard work.
05:20 And that's what we'll keep doing.
05:22 >> Okay, thank you.
05:22 >> Thank you.
05:23 >> And.
