American rock singer Ruby Jones (Constance Henrietta Mierzwiak) better known as Ruby Starr, she made her name as backing singer for Black Oak Arkansas. She released her first solo album "Stone junkie" in 1971 supervised by Curtis Mayfield who was also the author of the title-track. Funky blues rock vibes supplemented with a horn section.
