NEDA, nagbabala sa matinding 'social cost' kung ihihiwalay ang Mindanao sa Pilipinas

00:00 The National Economic and Development Authority has decided to reduce the severe social cost of the separation of Mindanao from the Philippines.
00:09 According to NEDA Undersecretary Rosemary Edelion, the cost of doing business of the people of Mindanao will increase if there is a secession.
00:19 NEDA supports the statement of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. that the calls for the separation of Mindanao should be stopped.
00:27 They also do not want to go home in a situation where they will need a visa or passport to cross Mindanao.
00:34 Meanwhile, NEDA recognizes Mindanao's contribution to the country's economy,
00:39 such as the contribution of 16% to gross domestic product and more than 30% to agriculture.
00:46 Even so, Mindanao still needs monetary and technical assistance from the national government.
