New Yorkers rang in the Lunar New Year on Saturday (Feb 10) at Chinatown's annual Firecracker Ceremony.  Spectators celebrated the Year of the Dragon with a colorful show of lion dances, music, and firecrackers. 00:42 This is the annual Firecracker Festival.

00:44 It's the year of the dragon.

00:45 It's the year of strength and wisdom and good luck.

00:48 And families come out from all over New York City.

01:40 The governor signed it into law.

01:41 New York State is now the first state in the country

01:44 to celebrate Lunar New Year statewide.
