00:45 I'll show you what's called an inverted eggplant.
00:49 Are you ready, Food Explorers? Let's go!
00:53 Yummy!
00:54 Fellow Food Explorers and I are on a road trip to find the ultimate place for sound trip and food trip.
01:09 Today, we'll be doing a food trip here at the profound kitchen of Mexican Cantina.
01:17 A hit food spot in Quezon City where music lovers and foodies meet.
01:23 Our first record store is the profound audio Manila.
01:27 I work abroad in some hotels and I was here in a local culinary school.
01:33 But when the pandemic came in, unfortunately, I lost my job.
01:38 And then I started to sell my records just to put food on the table.
01:44 When we felt that we needed more and we felt good to open a restaurant,
01:52 so we thought like, why not?
01:55 We'll just do it alone. I have a hobby and I'm also interested in cooking.
02:00 Now, we're still alive and kicking.
02:03 Play music that play the records and also cooking very good Mexican food.
02:10 This is my living room because I'm a new waver and I need new wave music.
02:14 This is the size, 33.
02:16 While enjoying your favorite music, you can try their best sellers like Beef and Cheese Flautas.
02:29 I'll throw this away.
02:32 This is good.
02:33 They also have Burrito, cooked barbacoa style.
03:00 My life is so good.
03:02 You guys, I just came here and I'm already eating.
03:08 Wow!
03:12 Of course, our favorite is tacos.
03:24 And if you have a twist, you'll like their corn tortilla.
03:30 Oh, my!
03:34 You put too much.
03:40 And their ultimate must try, the Pollo al Carbón.
03:48 Mmm!
03:49 Chef!
03:54 The best!
03:58 Thank you.
03:59 You can see that my mouth is oily, which means it's delicious.
04:03 So if your trip to Tropa is cool sound with hot food,
04:07 come and join us on our food trip in Pique Mexican Cantina.
04:14 If you're that hungry, you ask where your dance is.
04:19 Where do you live?
04:21 What's your number?
04:23 Because there's no cell phone there, so you'll call.
04:26 So it's just 7 numbers.
04:29 Are you looking for an authentic Sagrada Coffee experience,
04:37 but you don't have time for a long road trip to Cordillera?
04:41 Don't be sad, because you can achieve that by visiting the SGD Coffee Bodega
04:48 in Maalalahanin Street in Quezon City.
04:51 We didn't start as a store.
04:53 We actually started as a farm.
04:55 So we started in Sagrada farming our coffee.
04:59 And we started from scratch.
05:01 We actually worked with a farmer, then turned into a few farmers,
05:06 and then we planted our coffee.
05:08 And then we harvested, processed, and then roasted our own coffee.
05:14 When we were happy and satisfied about the coffees that we started to plant,
05:20 then we started the shop.
05:23 One of the things that we've somehow committed to
05:27 is that SGD Coffee will not own its own farm.
05:30 What we wanted to do is work with a community of coffee farmers
05:35 and have them hand it down to the next generation.
05:39 The second thing is that you will get cultural coffee.
05:43 So cultural coffee is what the community drinks.
05:46 So that's what we're trying to give you an experience of how it is
05:50 drinking Sagrada coffee according to Sagrada.
05:54 And as a coffee lover himself,
05:57 Dustin really enjoyed his visit to the SGD Coffee Bodega.
06:02 Here at SGD Coffee, we have Itag, which is a traditional Sagrada ham.
06:07 We interpreted it in a very familiar pasta dish.
06:12 So we do an Itag Carbonara.
06:14 Let's see.
06:16 I put just one meat, and there's a lot of carbonara.
06:20 The meat tastes so good.
06:22 Mmm.
06:30 [slurps]
06:32 Perfect.
06:35 So you have a cup of Sagrada coffee,
06:40 which is normally how people would think of
06:44 when they talk about Sagrada coffee.
06:47 One of the places I go to is SGD Black.
06:52 I'm sure my fellow Black Riders will be jealous.
06:56 Don't forget to watch Black Rider every 8 p.m. on GMAN.
07:01 It's balanced in strength and the deliciousness of the coffee.
07:10 Also, we did a dish that's using Sagrada coffee.
07:14 So we had adobo with coffee.
07:16 Let's try it. No rice first.
07:20 [blows]
07:22 [upbeat music]
07:28 It doesn't taste like coffee, but you'll taste it after.
07:37 It's different from the typical adobo.
07:43 We'll also have dessert, which is an affogato,
07:46 but using our Sagrada coffee.
07:48 Wow.
07:49 It's delicious.
07:56 It's the first time I've tasted this in my life.
07:58 And we also have tiramisu.
08:01 It tastes like coffee, but it tastes like cheesecake.
08:08 The experience here at SGD Coffee Bodega is really delicious.
08:13 So if you haven't tried this, where have you been?
08:17 If you want to really try the best of Sagrada coffee,
08:21 you probably won't find it here.
08:24 The best coffee, really, are the ones that are drank in the origins.
08:29 So we have a program where we say it's cup to farm,
08:35 where we want to promote people after experiencing the coffee here.
08:41 Take your cup to the farms and then get to know the people behind your coffee,
08:46 the communities behind that coffee, and the culture.
08:49 We always say, "Discover Philippines in cups of coffee."
08:52 [music]
09:14 [BLANK_AUDIO]
