00:03 The best thing about this job, it
00:13 provides me with the opportunity to explore my artistic side
00:18 to get more creative, which I really love to do.
00:22 The designer creates the overall shape
00:25 of the dragon, which is quite different from the previous
00:28 dragon that had been represented on the Rolls-Royces before.
00:32 She wanted to give it some fluidity,
00:35 some sense of movement.
00:37 But I'm given a lot of freedom to create all the detailing
00:41 and interpret it on my own way.
00:44 I started working at Rolls-Royce around 10 years ago.
00:48 I studied pharmacy at university.
00:51 So as you can see, I went down quite a different path.
00:55 But art has always been a passion of mine.
01:00 To create a 3D effect on this dragon,
01:04 I'm using multiple shades of red and layering them
01:08 on top of each other.
01:10 I take the primary red color and mix it
01:13 with some yellow, some white, and some brown
01:17 to deepen the dimension of the dragon.
01:18 In total, the part will be lacquered five times.
01:24 This means baking in the oven and finally sanding each time
01:28 to wipe it clean of any inclusion and red particles.
01:32 It's really a slow process, and you have to be very meticulous.
01:36 But I do like a challenge.
01:38 It forces me to step out of my comfort zone,
01:41 and that's when I produce my best work.
