00:12 - I'm scrolling through Twitter like I do way too often.

00:16 And I saw a tweet from Elon Musk.

00:23 I'll send you back 2,000,

00:24 which felt like an obvious scam.

00:28 I just thought, oh, someone finally hacked his account.

00:30 Good for them, I guess.

00:31 And then I started seeing all these other accounts

00:35 starting to get hit.

00:36 - I was seeing this same tweet coming up from Apple, Uber.

00:40 - Jeff Bezos, Bill Gates.

00:42 - Joe Biden.

00:43 - Barack Obama.

00:44 - Michael Bloomberg.

00:45 - Floyd Mayweather.

00:46 - Kanye West.

00:47 - And of course, Kim Kardashian.

00:49 - Twitter turned off tweeting for all the verified accounts.

00:53 - And it suddenly became clear

00:55 just how significant Twitter was.

00:58 And they literally brought Twitter to its knees.

01:01 The first thought was,

01:05 this is too sophisticated for this just to be a Bitcoin scam.

01:10 It immediately sort of recalled the 2016 elections

01:15 and the DNC gets hacked

01:16 and Hillary Clinton's emails are floating out there.

01:19 All this personal information

01:20 about the most significant cultural, business

01:24 and political figures had been penetrated.

01:27 Everybody was just sort of waiting with bated breath

01:30 to figure out who was behind the attack.

01:33 - And who did it turn out to be?

01:35 - Teenagers.

01:36 - Federal law enforcement agents

01:42 arrested 17 year old Graham Clark

01:44 for being the mastermind behind the July 15th hack of Twitter.
