The new Scotland captain speaks on the decision to close the roof at the Principality Stadium for the Six Nations opener.
Transcript
00:00 I was at Wrasse for five years, they've got an indoor stadium so I'm pretty used to it.
00:06 I think the weather conditions changed over the week so that's why it's now closed.
00:10 I think I'll make for an exciting, fast free-throwing game around here tomorrow.
00:14 It will get slightly greasier inside with the humidity but I'll be both teams under the same conditions.
00:22 Whether it's open or closed I think it doesn't change too much.
00:25 You've been part of several teams that have come to this stadium and not been able to find a way to win.
00:30 What is it about this stadium and this moment that you think this team can get a different outcome?
00:36 I think that this stadium is one of the best in the world here.
00:41 When the Welsh boys put that red jersey on they become different when they're at clubs.
00:46 It's a massive challenge for us coming down here to try and win.
00:49 We won it two years ago I think but it wasn't here without a crowd after Covid.
00:54 So coming to a Principality that shouldn't be packed out with Welsh fans is a completely different challenge than two years ago.
01:01 It's an exciting one, we've got a few new faces.
01:05 We've got a point to prove as well so I think both teams have an exciting game tomorrow.
