Former Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte has scored a stunning goal from inside his half for Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr against Inter Miami.

The fixture was billed as 'The Last Dance' between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, with the two players on opposing sides.

However, neither player is starting the game because of injury, although Messi has been named on Inter Miami's bench.

Al Nassr raced into a 3-0 lead at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh - with the most special goal arriving courtesy of an incredible strike from Spain international Laporte.

The goal even caught the cameras, who missed it live while showing a replay.

Laporte's goal put Al Nassr 3-0 up inside just 12 minutes against their MLS opposition, with Otavio and Anderson Talisca scoring the opening two goals for Luis Castro's side.

And despite not being involved for the Saudi Pro League side in Riyadh, Ronaldo is still present at the stadium - and his delight at seeing Laporte score from such a distance out was there for all to see.

Even though Messi is out of action, meanwhile, Inter Miami is still fielding the legendary Barcelona trio of Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suarez.

Both teams are at different stages in terms of fitness, with the MLS side just beginning their pre-season schedule. Al Nassr, meanwhile, is still in the middle of their Saudi Pro League campaign.

Inter Miami lost 4-3 to Al Hilal on Monday, with Suarez and Messi both getting on the scoresheet.

However, despite young Honduran midfielder David Ruiz leveling the scores at 3-3 in 55 minutes - one minute after Messi had scored from the penalty spot - Malcom scored a late winner for the table-topping Saudi Pro League side.
