00:00 They are asking for no aid to go into the Gaza Strip. They're blocking trucks, they're inspecting
00:06 trucks and anything that looks like it's got aid bound for Gaza, they are not letting it pass. But
00:11 look, there is so much pressure being heaped on the Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, not just
00:17 from the public but also from the far right flank of his government. I'm talking specifically here
00:24 about the National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gavir. He is threatening to pull down the
00:30 government, to topple the government if Netanyahu makes what he is calling a reckless deal with
00:36 Hamas that could see these hostages set free. But look, it certainly does appear that Netanyahu may
00:43 have a lifeline here, a safety net if you will. The opposition leader, Yair Lapid from the centrist
00:50 Yash Atid party, he says that he would step in and take the place of these ultra right-wing parties
00:56 that form this coalition there with the government to prevent the government falling. But he says
01:01 that this is not to try and save Netanyahu's political hide. This is simply to try and get
01:08 a deal through that would see these 130 or so hostages returned to Israel. So look, certainly
01:14 a lot of pressure on Netanyahu then. His popularity is certainly slipping. A recent poll here in
01:20 Israel has just showed that if an election were to be held now, that Netanyahu would lose. The
01:26 big winner there would be Benny Gantz, the former defence minister who also makes up part of that
01:32 war cabinet. The poll says that if it were to be held today, Netanyahu's Likud party would lose
01:38 around 20 Knesset seats. So certainly not looking good there for Prime Minister Netanyahu.
