00:00 NFL reporter Doug Kide is mourning the loss of his two-year-old daughter Hallie after

00:05 her battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

00:08 The Boston Herald journalist reveals he and his wife Jen Cosby Kide said goodbye on January

00:14 Hallie was only two years old.

00:16 Kide captions a series of images to Instagram, which also include photos of their six-year-old

00:21 daughter Olivia, were completely lost and heartbroken without Hallie.

00:25 "Our lives will never be the same.

00:27 Hallie was a special kid, and she made a positive impact on so many people she met.

00:32 We were lucky to be her parents, and Olivia was fortunate to have the best baby sister."

00:38 Hallie was first diagnosed with AML, a type of blood and bone marrow cancer, in April

00:42 2023.

00:44 Doug says in his repost that Hallie had recently relapsed after having received a bone marrow

00:49 transplant and that her chemotherapy treatments after the procedure had stopped being effective.

00:55 He adds, "Doctors at Boston Children's Hospital did everything they could to help Hallie,

00:59 and she beat AML every day for over nine months straight."

01:03 Doug continues with sweet memories of Hallie and a tribute to how special she was.

01:13 She was so beautiful, naturally funny and knew it, and was going to be a star in dance

01:19 Doctors, nurses and hospital staff loved seeing which princess dress she'd be wearing that

01:25 Despite the tragic loss of their daughter, Doug has hope that others can find inspiration

01:31 He says, "The world is a worse place without Hallie in it.

01:35 If you can take anything from Hallie today, it's to know exactly what you want and to

01:39 be persistent in asking for it, whether it's going on a walk, riding the car, or wearing

01:44 one particular Disney dress, usually Cruella.

01:47 I'll miss rubbing her hair and kissing her head and telling her I love her the most."
