00:39 They only need to approve 4 of the 57 priority bills of the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council or LEDAC.
00:47 This includes House Bill 9713 or the draft Self-Reliant Defense Posture Program, a target to pass the draft in the last reading as soon as possible.
01:00 The draft amendment to the Electric Power Industry Reform Act, Budget Modernization Bill and Proposed National Defense Act is also included.
01:09 In the coming days and months, our administration will launch a large program to give our citizens a boost in the face of the inflation that is happening around the world.
01:21 All of these programs will be provided with sufficient funds here in Congress.
01:27 Let us help the President to ensure that every cent in these programs will reach all districts, from cities to neighborhoods.
01:38 In his speech, the House leader also raised the issue of the Charter Change.
01:42 The Leader of the House, the President, also expressed his support for this issue in the Senate.
01:47 It is critical that we facilitate the entry of foreign capital and direct investments into our economy.
01:54 And it's imperative that we re-examine the Constitution and carefully scrutinize pertinent economic provisions to eliminate the barriers that restrict potential growth.
02:05 We therefore welcome the recent move of the Senate, led by the Honorable Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri,
02:13 in joining the House of its representatives in its historic and laudable efforts towards Charter Change via Constituent Assembly.
02:21 In an interview, Speaker Maldes, on behalf of the Acusación Siaumalo, also made a statement,
02:27 ordering the signing of the People's Initiative in Chacha in various parts of the country.
02:32 Before the session, he also made a few remarks to the camera, such as the plan to relocate a low-income resident in Taguig City.
02:39 This is in line with the committee's effort to come up with a transparent, inclusive, and collaborative consultation with our major stakeholders.
02:48 Likewise, we would like to hear the survey results conducted by the HR of the House of Representatives and other stakeholders
02:54 in our desire to hear out and address the concerns of our own employees.
02:59 The House Committee on Higher and Technical Education also held a discussion on strengthening the system of education in the country.
03:08 We'll be much busier this year with weekly meetings since we have to attend and act,
03:14 as well as deliberate on the remaining measures referred to this committee before the second regular session ends in just a few months.
03:22 Melales Moras for the morning show of the country, Rise and Shine, Philippines.
