00:23 MOSES NGABENI: While I was still a boy, something
00:26 came up into my mind. I said one day I want to build my own sports vehicle. I saw those
00:33 American sports cars like Corvette, then I said one day when I grow old I want to build
00:38 one and nothing can stop me. It was bend by hand, the body structure, shape and everything
00:44 it was handmade. It's not like it's a complete workshop but if you are determined to complete
00:51 your future, your dream, you end up doing it. By God's grace I've managed to complete
00:55 my project, so I thank God for that.
00:57 COMM: The thrifty engineer used car parts
01:00 from a number of different models and has only spent 240,000 Rand so far. That's just
01:06 ÂŁ12,700 or $16,750 US dollars.
01:11 MOSES NGABENI: Okay, the engine is a 2-litre
01:13 engine from BMW 318i S, 98 model. The glasses, this small one here is from the Mazda 86 model.
01:23 The door glasses are from BMW M3 E46 model, 2005. The front windscreen is from BWKD Baki.
01:34 The front lights, they are from ODTT 2011 model. The rear fog lamp is from the 318i S.
01:41 It was used as a brake assistance on top of the windscreen. The taillights are from Nissan
01:46 Skyline GT-R 2015 model.
01:49 COMM: Moses can even start the engine remotely.
01:52 MOSES NGABENI: I'm really proud of him.
01:54 I know it's a dream come true for him to build this car. It's his passion.
01:58 COMM: And the supercar superfan hopes his

02:05 a model that will say it was like manufactured, designed by South Africa. I am in South Africa
02:12 and I'm not doing this thing for myself, it's for the country and for my people.
