00:07 graced the Royal Tea Reception at Istana Negara on Saturday,

00:12 ahead of the completion of His Majesty's reign as Head of State.

00:17 Also gracing the event was Raja Permaisuri Agong,

00:20 Tunku Aziza Amina Maimuna Iskandaria.

00:24 2,500 guests, including Cabinet Ministers,

00:28 MPs and heads of foreign missions,

00:31 attended the event, which began at 3pm.

00:34 Among the distinguished guests present

00:37 were Prime Minister Datu Sri Anwar Ibrahim and wife,

00:40 Datu Sri Dr Wan Aziza Wan Ismail,

00:43 Deputy Prime Minister Datu Sri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi,

00:47 Communications Minister Fahmy Fadil

00:50 and Dewan Rakyat Speaker Tan Sri Johari Abdul.

00:54 Also in attendance were former Prime Ministers

00:57 Sultan Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Tan Sri Mohaddin Yassin

01:00 and Datu Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

01:03 Guests were entertained by an orchestral performance

01:06 by Yayasan Sa'ad College from Melaka.

01:10 The Royal couple also spent almost an hour

01:13 mingling and taking photos with guests at the event.

01:17 Aung Sutan Abdullah will complete his term

01:20 as the 16th Yang Tipetuan Agong on January 30th

01:23 and the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Al Mahhum Sultan Iskandar

01:28 will begin his reign as the 17th Yang Tipetuan Agong

01:32 for a five-year term effective January 31st.
