Papua New Guinea Offers Businesses Financial Aid After Riots

Papua New Guinea's government is putting together a financial package to help businesses and cities impacted by violent riots that broke out in Port Moresby and Lae.

00:20 will be an assistant package for those business community who suffered losses."
00:26 The package is expected to be worth about 80 million US dollars but it will
00:31 be decided by the cabinet next week. It comes after a police and public sector
00:36 pay cut protest descended into looting and rioting. 20 people were killed in the
00:41 violence. Officials blamed the pay cut on an administrative glitch.
