00:04 Hi, my name is Flora Anna Buda and I'm the director of 27,

00:10 which will be part of the Animated Short Competition at Sundance 2024.

00:16 When I started writing this film I still live with my parents

00:19 and I was imagining this story about two youngsters who are

00:26 having an intimate relationship in a park outside somewhere.

00:33 And I was thinking why are they there, what's the point?

00:38 And then I figured that they probably live with their parents.

00:42 And this idea inspired the whole longer story that was partly

00:50 autobiographical and it's helped me kind of understand

00:56 my position at that moment and my situation.

01:02 That later turned out that it concerns a whole lot more people than I thought.

01:09 Sundance seemed to be a selection that advocates new voices

01:16 and gives space for my generation to tell brave stories and unique stories.

01:25 And I felt like I wish my film could be part of this.

01:29 So I cannot be more happy and I can't wait to be there.

01:33 And I can't wait to share this film with you. I hope you will enjoy it.
