00:00 Hey guys, Oues here from Bluefx and today we're going to be talking about the top 5
00:03 programs for YouTubers that are actually 100% free.
00:07 So without further ado, drop a like on this video, let us know if you enjoy these types
00:10 of videos and let's hop into it.
00:12 Starting with number 1, and by the way, this list is in no particular order, we have HitFilm
00:17 Express, our fan favorite editing program.
00:19 HitFilm Express is a toned down version of HitFilm Pro, which is a full-fledged multi-track
00:24 editing suite that we actually have a video on the channel right now, all about beginner
00:29 editing in HitFilm under 25 minutes, if you guys want to check that out, card on screen
00:33 right now.
00:34 This is a fantastic video editor as it allows you to jump into the world of editing, edit
00:38 your own YouTube videos without having to pay a single cent and it is completely free
00:42 to download.
00:43 Of course, the links to all of these things that I'm talking about will be linked in the
00:47 description down below.
00:48 Moving on, we have Audacity.
00:50 Now Audacity is a fantastic program that I'm actually using right now to record the sound
00:54 for this video.
00:55 Essentially, how it works is you have a microphone that is linked to Audacity, whether it's plugged
01:00 into your computer or something like that, and you're allowed to record sound in Audacity
01:04 completely for free.
01:06 You can then add tons of effects such as equalization, you can amplify and normalize the sound, whole
01:11 bunch of things like that, all completely for free within Audacity and it's a really,
01:15 really good program that I would even say is even better than some of the paid ones
01:20 out there.
01:21 Moving on, if you're the type of person who likes to dive into the photo editing side
01:24 of things and you obviously want to create your own thumbnails that will catch your viewers
01:28 eyes, we have GIMP, which is a Photoshop alternative that allows you to do quite a few of the same
01:33 things that Photoshop does.
01:34 You can import a picture, you can crop the picture, you can edit the picture, and you
01:38 don't have to use one of those third-party free website thumbnail creators because with
01:43 GIMP you can retain the full quality of your image and export high-quality JPEG files,
01:48 PNG files, whatever you want it to be.
01:50 You can also add cool effects such as gradients and glows and blurs, all within GIMP, completely
01:55 for free.

01:58 Moving on to the next program that is completely free for beginners, we are motoring through
02:01 this list because there's something special I want to talk to you guys about at the end
02:04 of this one.
02:05 We have Blender.
02:06 Now, Blender is a 3D model engine that allows you to not only import and manage 3D models,
02:12 but also design 3D models completely for free.
02:15 Now, Blender is a little bit of an intense program.
02:18 When you just open it up, you may get a little bit of a shock and your heart might start
02:21 palpitating very quickly.
02:23 But as with anything, with time and practice, there comes a lot of progress.
02:28 And so Blender, I would say, is akin to, if we're making a comparison, something like
02:32 Cinema 4D, which is a paid program.
02:34 But with Blender, you are allowed to essentially create your own 3D models and then whether
02:38 you're editing them in HitFilm or something like After Effects, you can completely shade
02:43 and edit the model within Blender and then import it to After Effects and then do all
02:47 of your animation in that type of program.
02:49 And finally, we have OBS.
02:50 Now, OBS is a program that I haven't particularly or personally used a lot myself, but a lot
02:56 of people recommend it for a free alternative to any other paid programs if you want to
03:01 live stream.
03:02 So with OBS, you can do all sorts of cool things when it comes to live streaming.
03:05 So whether you're live streaming on Twitch or YouTube or any of the other hundreds of
03:08 platforms out there, you can do all of the cool things that a piece of live streaming
03:12 software will allow you to do.
03:13 For example, add an intro in live time or add graphics onto your screen in live time
03:19 as your audience is watching the video.
03:20 Also, you can schedule live streams and have live streams start on at a certain time, get
03:25 guests on your live stream or within OBS, which is what is called an open source software
03:30 because it's completely free to download.
03:31 Again, for this one as well, the link is in the description.
03:34 So I didn't only want to talk to you guys about the five programs.
03:37 I also wanted to tell you how you can actually better utilize all five of them to build your
03:43 YouTube arsenal.
03:44 When it comes to starting a YouTube channel, there's not much that you have.
03:47 You don't have a camera, you don't have a microphone, you don't have lights, but you
03:50 don't need any of that.
03:52 All you need is a smartphone and a computer.
03:55 That's it.
03:56 Whether you're borrowing someone's smartphone if you don't have one yourself or using your
03:58 granddad's computer that's from the 1950s, you can make it work.
04:03 I don't know if HitFilm is going to work on a 1950s computer though, so you may want to
04:07 use one that's at least from the century that we are in right now.
04:11 So with that piece of footage that you recorded, whether it's from a camera or from your cell
04:14 phone, you can bring it into your computer and actually download HitFilm, edit the video,
04:19 download Audacity, edit the sound, download Blender, make a 3D model, import it into HitFilm,
04:25 animate the 3D model, and then live stream it using OBS, and of course, create a thumbnail
04:29 for it using GIMP.
04:31 And that's crazy.
04:32 The fact that we have such powerful tools at our disposal right now completely for free,
04:36 it blows my mind because just a few years ago, you wouldn't be able to get this amount
04:40 of free things that has this quality.
04:42 I mean, when I started making YouTube videos about maybe five, six years ago, I was using
04:46 Windows Movie Maker, which I can tell you is not a fun time at all, and HitFilm completely
04:52 trumps it.
04:53 Sometimes, I even use HitFilm instead of Premiere Pro because I just like the features in it
04:58 way better.
04:59 And speaking of free things that's at your disposal, on our site, bluefx.net, we actually
05:03 have a ton of freebies for you to download, whether that's our social media pack, whether
05:07 it's a bunch of different intros and lower thirds, that's completely free for you to
05:11 download and mess around with.

05:16 I don't know which side it is on right now, but definitely download some of those.
05:20 It's completely free.
05:21 All you need to do is click it and input a little bit of details, and then click save
05:26 and download.
05:27 You don't have to put in any credit card information, and it's completely free to download.
05:30 So why not?
