00:15 nation braced for worse to come. Belal is expected to pass Mauritius at its closest
00:20 point early on Tuesday. The tropical cyclone has already hit the island of Reunion, causing
00:25 heavy rain and strong winds. Many homes were left without electricity. Tens of thousands
00:30 of people without water, telephone and internet connections were also interrupted. At least
00:36 one homeless person was found dead.
