00:00 Good afternoon, everyone.
00:03 Welcome along to this press conference to unveil Filippo Terracciano.
00:07 Before we give the floor to Milan TV, Filippo would like to say something.
00:11 First and foremost, good afternoon, everyone.
00:14 Before we get started, I really wanted to thank Verona,
00:18 both the city and the club, Elas Verona,
00:22 the club, my teammates from the academy and in the first team as well.
00:27 And I also want to to thank all of the coaches that I've had.
00:31 All of them in their own individual way have helped me to develop.
00:36 And above all, Ivan Juric, who is the first one to believe in me.
00:41 And I think he was the person that really
00:43 enabled me to understand the importance of hard work and dedication.
00:48 So I'll always be very grateful to Ivan Juric.
00:50 Now we'll give the floor to Mauro Suma.
00:54 Thank you, Laura.
00:56 Welcome along, Filippo. Good afternoon.
00:58 You still are to turn 21, but you already have 21 appearances in Serie A.
01:04 Do you think that the experience that you've already acquired
01:08 will always be useful to you, as you mentioned in your introduction
01:14 over the course of your career and during your time with Milan?
01:18 Yes, I'm young and I'm acquiring experience game after game.
01:25 I'm at a stage of my career where I'm learning a great deal
01:28 in every training session, in every match, and gradually
01:31 I will start to acquire experience.
01:33 I saw that you were looking at the footage of our history in the museum.
01:44 You are very immersed in the glory of the footage there.
01:47 I imagine it's all happened very quickly for you.
01:50 Verona, Casa Milan, the club, the headquarters, Milanello,
01:55 the training ground.
01:56 But despite all that, you went on in a very difficult moment
02:02 of the stage of the game against Atalanta.
02:05 You were very neat and tidy when we were training by a goal.
02:08 And you were very precise in what you did.
02:13 It's all happened very quickly, hasn't it?
02:15 Yes, of course, it was very exciting, first and foremost.
02:19 But as soon as I was called upon, I forgot everything,
02:23 put everything out of my mind and I was focused on the job at hand.
02:26 I tried to compartmentalize
02:34 and make sure that I was focused on the task at hand
02:37 to try and help out the team.
02:39 Sky, welcome, Filippo.
02:43 Best of luck for your time at Milan.
02:45 I wanted to ask you a couple of questions.
02:46 Mauro asked you about the impact on the pitch.
02:49 I wanted to ask you about the emotional side of things.
02:52 When did you find out about Milan's interest?
02:54 And what's it been like moving from Verona to Milan?
03:00 It's a short distance, but almost everything changes, doesn't it?
03:03 Yes, it's a big change.
03:06 And you can see it in everything.
03:08 Every person you encounter at Casa Milan,
03:12 at the in the trophy room.
03:15 It's not for me to say what a huge club Milan is.
03:19 As I've said,
03:21 very positive emotions in the first few days.
03:27 I've had a wonderful warm welcome here,
03:29 both from the players and the staff as a whole.
03:32 And as I've said, when I go out there onto the pitch,
03:37 I forget everything, I switch off from everything else
03:41 and I focus on what I need to do to give my all.
03:45 And the best I can give is playing my part for the team.
03:49 Schoffer, Moncada and Stefano Pioli have both said that you're very versatile.
03:56 You can play as a fullback on the right or the left.
04:00 You can play as a number eight.
04:01 You can play as a wingback as well.
04:04 Where do you feel you're best?
04:08 And is there a player from the past that played for Milan?
04:13 Not that you necessarily want to compare yourself to,
04:15 but you've idolized over the years.
04:17 I've never really bothered too much about a specific position or where I'm picked.
04:26 It's not my job.
04:29 All I need to do is give my all
04:31 in the position where the coach picks me.
04:35 So that's not something I can necessarily control.
04:41 And whatever the position that I'm picked in,
04:45 I will try and perform to the best of my abilities.
04:49 And I can adapt very quickly.
04:54 As for Milan players that I've idolized,
04:59 I'd have to say Paolo Maldini.
05:04 Maldini and Alessandro Nesta were two players that I always watched a lot.
05:08 I watched a lot of videos of them on YouTube,
05:11 and those are the two names that I would mention.
05:13 Calcio Mercato.
05:16 Good afternoon, Filippo.
05:17 First and foremost, congratulations.
05:20 You have joined a historic club.
05:22 You've spoken about Nesta and Maldini.
05:24 I wanted to ask you about your first impressions
05:28 working at Milanello day in, day out about this club.
05:36 And encountering Zlatan Ibrahimovic,
05:39 he might have been an idol of yours, even though he's in a different position.
05:42 Has he said anything to you?
05:43 A lot of clubs were competing for your signature in January,
05:47 and that shows that you're developing well.
05:49 Why did you push so hard to move to Milan as opposed to other clubs?
05:53 I'll start with the last portion of your question.
05:58 I think Milan is the best possible place for me to develop
06:04 as a player in terms of the staff, the facilities
06:07 and also the big characters that you encounter on a daily basis.
06:13 It might be Zlatan Ibrahimovic, for instance.
06:15 I think the more information I'm able to glean,
06:22 the more I can develop both as a footballer and as a human being.
06:26 When you come up against big personalities like that, it's very positive.
06:33 Sport Italia. Hi, Filippo.
06:35 Best of luck.
06:36 Verona published a photo of you
06:43 as a kid wearing the yellow blue colors.
06:45 There's another photo which is doing the rounds, which is your dad,
06:50 who was with Stefano Pioli in the sticker albums.
06:54 Has there been a fatherly pat on the back from Stefano Pioli?
07:00 Is there a future photo of you in the Rossoneri colors?
07:04 Yes, I also discovered that my dad played with Stefano Pioli at Fiorenzuola
07:12 and he just had a bit of a chat with the head coach.
07:18 My dad did.
07:21 And it's nice to know that they played together.
07:23 Yes, I played my entire youth with Verona.
07:30 That's why there was the photo of me there as a kid.
07:32 And let's try and write a new chapter here day after day at Milan.
07:36 Hi, Filippo.
07:41 First and foremost, welcome to Milan.
07:44 A little earlier, you were talking about Ivan Juric
07:46 and all of the coaches that have given you so much.
07:49 What can Stefano Pioli provide you with?
07:51 The gaffer can offer me a great deal right from those first few training sessions.
07:58 I'm learning a great deal.
08:00 And so both from a footballing perspective and as a human being,
08:06 I'm absolutely sure that I will develop significantly.
08:10 And as I said, I can't wait to get started.
08:15 Hi, Filippo. Welcome to Milan from my side, too.
08:21 Against Atalanta, you were combining a lot with Rafael Leão and Teo Hernandez.
08:28 It's a Milan side that's very young, albeit there are a lot of leaders like Olivier Giroud.
08:33 What can it give you in your career for a team that has already won things,
08:37 that want to win things and a good group of lads as well?
08:39 Yeah, as you said, they're a nice group of players.
08:42 Fantastic squad of players.
08:45 The veterans have given me a warm welcome.
08:48 And training with world class players like Rafael Leão, Olivier Giroud and Teo Hernandez
08:53 will certainly provide me with a great deal.
08:56 I need to try and fit into the coach's system as quickly as possible,
09:05 get to grips and get to know my teammates both from a footballing perspective and socially,
09:11 so that I can work out how best to dovetail with the likes of Rafael Leão and Teo Hernandez
09:17 on the pitch when we exchange passes.
09:19 You've already mentioned that you're not really bothered about a specific position,
09:25 but we have seen you in a slightly unusual position.
09:28 We hadn't ever seen you on the left before.
09:32 How did you find that? Can you do it?
09:34 And why did you choose the specific shirt number?
09:38 As I've already said, I played on the left because the gaffer asked me to cover that position.
09:49 As I've said, I'm not really interested in my position.
09:52 I don't give that too much thought.
09:57 And wherever I'm picked, I give my absolute all.
10:00 As for my shirt number, Simon Kier had 24 that used to be my number, so I couldn't pick that one.
10:10 So I chose 38 because I played with Destini Udogi throughout my time with the Verona Academy.
10:23 He's now at Tottenham.
10:24 I spoke a little bit to Destini and I chose that a little bit as a tribute to him.
10:30 Hi, Filippo.
10:32 Welcome along and best of luck.
10:36 As soon as you moved here to Milan, what sort of dressing room atmosphere did you discover and encounter?
10:44 Have you already made friends with anyone in particular?
10:46 Thank you very much and best of luck.
10:49 As I said, I encountered a fantastic atmosphere, both in terms of the players and the staff.
11:02 It's been a very positive experience from every angle.
11:07 And I know that anything I need, there are people willing to help me out.
11:14 And that's been really nice.
11:15 I had no doubts about that whatsoever, that I would encounter such a wonderful atmosphere.
11:20 And that's one of the reasons why I picked Milan in the first place.
11:23 Thanks very much, Filippo.
11:24 Thanks very much, everyone.
11:25 Thank you.
