00:00 President Bombong Marcos allowed several new houses in Cavite and the new Disaster Response Command Center of the DSWD.

00:13 President Bombong Marcos himself approved the government's house in Baco, Cavite.

00:22 Someone already moved here so the President approved it as well.

00:25 As a new resident, I, Generaliza Galoso, was the first to move.

00:31 It's different, ma'am. It's safer here than where we used to live.

00:36 Our house is right below the sea.

00:38 It's better here. The kids can play better here.

00:42 We are speeding up their relocation to a new house that is safe, quality, comfortable, and has a good owner.

00:52 The six houses of the City of Caonlaran Phase 1 were relocated to 360 families who no longer live here

01:00 after the Supreme Court issued a mandate on December 18, 2008

01:04 that ordered 13 government agencies to clean, rehabilitate, and preserve the Manila Bay area

01:12 so it can be reused for other recreational activities.

01:16 Once the other five houses are completed, 540 units with 24 square meters each can be rented.

01:25 The Phase 2 of the house will be added to the list because it's groundbreaking

01:29 for the two other houses that have 120 units.

01:33 Next is Phase 3, which is another house with 60 units.

01:40 The President also convened the activation of the Disaster Response Command Center of the Social Welfare Department

01:46 on its 73rd anniversary.

01:49 The center will help in better assistance in the event of calamity or emergency.

01:55 Our field offices, they can put data in real time, enabling us to have a bird's eye view if we have enough relief goods.

02:03 Here is the place, the headquarters of our war against poverty.

02:08 It may be the compassion center that dispenses help to the needy.

02:13 The DSWD also allocated the assistance of six and a half million Filipinos

02:18 to the Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situations or AICS in 2023.

02:24 Hundreds of thousands of families were given P3,000 food credits

02:29 and assistance to more than 1,000 families and individuals living in the area,

02:34 small rice retailers, affected by calamities and families who have graduated from 4Peace

02:41 because they are already in poverty, so others who are in need can help.

02:46 We have managed to accept 674,452 household beneficiaries from the 4Peace program last year.

02:55 There are no lazy Filipinos.

02:57 The Filipino workers are ready. Let's give them a chance,

03:04 not only when they are in crisis, but also in their daily life.
