00:24 >> Hi, I'm Pete Sillan, and I'm the director and cinematographer of Love Machina.
00:28 We'll be premiering in the documentary competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.
00:35 Back in the summer of 2017, producer Brendan Doyle and I got an email asking if
00:39 we'd like to make a film on the first AI to take a college class.
00:42 We had heard a little bit about AI, but had no idea what we were about to get into.
00:48 We found ourselves in a truly original love story involving digital consciousness,
00:53 space settlements, organ transplantation, electric helicopters,
00:57 cryopreservation, science fiction, social justice, transgender rights, and
01:02 underpinning it all, a never ending quest for eternal love.
01:05 And there's also a flute scene.

01:18 The whole Love Machina team is really happy to be sharing this film with you all.
01:23 We hope you enjoy it.
