"Stellantis Spotlight" is a weekly recap of some of the major stories at Stellantis. The top stories for the week ending January 5, 2024, include an in-depth look at how our beloved brands performed from a sales perspective in Q4 and the year 2023.

00:13 On this week's edition of Stellantis Spotlight, we dive into the company's

00:19 fourth quarter and full-year sales results for North America.

00:23 In a year when electric and hybrid vehicles pushed further into the forefront of the industry,

00:28 we launched our first fully electric vehicle, the Fiat 500e.

00:32 Our total plug-in hybrid sales in the U.S. saw an increase of 124% year-over-year

00:38 and a 118% increase versus Q4 last year.

00:43 Leading the charge in the U.S., we claimed the top three spots among best-selling PHEVs,

00:49 with the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, respectively.

00:56 The Chrysler and Dodge brands saw year-over-year sales increases of 19% and 5%, respectively.

01:03 Chrysler Pacifica vehicle sales increased 22% year-over-year,

01:07 with the hybrid version claiming 20% of total Pacifica sales.

01:12 The Dodge brand saw growth with the introduction of its first electrified vehicle, the Dodge Hornet RT.

01:18 The brand saw a 25% increase in total year sales for the Dodge Durango.

01:23 In 2024, Dodge will introduce its first fully electric vehicle, the Dodge Charger Daytona.

01:30 Jeep, Alfa Romeo, and Ram brands all saw Q4 sales bumps from the previous year,

01:36 up 7%, 9%, and 3%, respectively,

01:41 with Alfa Romeo introducing its first electrified vehicle, the Tonale.

01:46 Overall, year-over-year sales for the U.S. decreased 1%,

01:50 with a 1% decline in Q4 from the same time last year.

01:54 Stellantis will launch eight full battery-electric vehicles in the U.S. by the end of 2024,

01:59 including some familiar names, like the Ram 1500 Rev, Wagoneer S, Dodge Charger Daytona, and Fiat 500e Red.

02:08 For the fourth quarter of 2023, Canada saw sales increases for both Dodge and Alfa Romeo brands,

02:16 at 5% and 84%, respectively.

02:19 The Alfa Romeo brand saw a total sales increase of 21% versus last year,

02:25 thanks to the introduction of the brand's first CSUV, the Tonale, which had an immediate positive impact.

02:31 Dodge saw a year-over-year sales increase of 25%,

02:35 thanks to production and sales of the final L-Car lineup,

02:38 including the 1,025-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 and the introduction of the Dodge Hornet RT.

02:46 Canada also celebrated the production of the 100,000th Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid

02:51 and remains the number one seller of minivans in the country.

02:54 And total sales for Mexico in 2023 were 96,795 units,

03:01 a growth of 30% compared to 2022, marking its best year in sales since 2012.

03:08 Mexico also reported sales growth of 34% in December compared to the same month in 2022,

03:14 making it the best December since 2016.

03:17 Ram and Peugeot brands saw the best year in sales in their histories,

03:22 thanks to record sales for multiple vehicles across their lineups,

03:25 including the Peugeot 2008 and the Ram 700.
