Two Millwall Fans are Caught Making Vile Helicopter Gestures to Mock the Death of Leicester Chairman

Two Millwall supporters were detained and removed from the club's FA Cup tie after appearing to mock the death of former Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Footage on social media showed two supporters making gestures referencing Srivaddhanaprabha's death in a helicopter crash back in 2018.

The Thai billionaire was killed in the horrifying crash in October 2018 which also claimed the lives of employees Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, as well as co-pilots Eric Swaffer and his girlfriend Izabela Roza Lechowicz.

Shortly after taking off from the pitch, the Leonardo AW169 helicopter reached an altitude of approximately 430ft before plummeting to the ground, despite the best efforts of its highly experienced pilot.

Four of the five on board survived the initial impact, but no one made it out alive after the helicopter was engulfed by flames within a minute after a major fuel leak.

Two Millwall supporters were shown on video making helicopter gestures in the direction of Leicester supporters ahead of their FA Cup tie.

Stadium staff at the Den were then seen speaking to the two fans after the footage was posted on social media.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed to Mail Sport that two fans were detained and removed from the stadium following the incident.

'Two men were detained and ejected from the ground,' a statement read.

'They will each be summonsed for an offense under the Public Order Act.

'Enquiries are ongoing to locate a third man in connection with the incident.'

The Air Accident Investigation Branch (AAIB) released a comprehensive report of the crash in September.

The AAIB report raised serious concerns about the aircraft's safety and the actions of its manufacturer Leonardo.

Vichai's son Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: 'The course of events deeply saddens me.

'Almost five years after my father's passing, this report provides concerning evidence against Leonardo.

'My father trusted that he had bought a safe helicopter from a world-renowned manufacturer.

'Had he known what we know now he would never have risked his life in this machine.'

The crash happened after the pilot's pedals became disconnected from the tail rotor, investigators said, resulting in the aircraft making a sharp right turn which was 'impossible' to control.

The AAIB described this as 'a catastrophic failure', causing the helicopter to spin quickly, approximately five times in 14 seconds.

Aiyawatt became Leicester's owner and chairman following his father's death.

Leicester fans have credited Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha for helping to transform the club's fortunes.

This culminated in Leicester's famous Premier League title win back in 2016.

Leicester supporters fans left thousands of tributes to Srivaddhanaprabha following his death.

The Premier League, FA, and EFL announced ahead of the 2023-24 campaign that fans could face stadium bans and criminal prosecution if found guilty of football tragedy abuse under new regulations.
