00:00 The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro launches one of the biggest updates to the series in years with
00:04 USB-C and log video recording to name a few.
00:07 To make the most of your brand new device, I'm sharing some must-have iPhone accessories
00:11 that I think are worth your money, including chargers, game controllers, and external storage,
00:16 along with some of the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals linked below to help you
00:19 save this holiday season.
00:21 Starting our list off, we have the 30W Anker Nano Power Bank.
00:25 This is a 10,000 mAh power bank that has a few cool tricks up its sleeve.
00:29 This supports power delivery with a max output of 30W.
00:33 You can charge this to about 50% in about 45 minutes, or you can charge your phone to
00:37 about 50% in just 30 minutes.
00:39 In total, you can get about two full charges for your brand new iPhone 15, so that's
00:44 pretty cool.
00:45 At the top here, we have this button that when you click it, reveals this color LCD.
00:49 We've seen percentage readouts on other power banks before, but Anker takes this a
00:53 step further by showing you how much time it'll take to fully charge your power bank,
00:57 as well as how much time until the power bank depletes.
01:00 So even though that might seem unnecessary when I'm running some important gear, whether
01:04 it's a camera or my phone when I'm shooting video, it's really helpful to see how much
01:08 time is remaining on this, that way I can plan ahead.
01:11 Hard to miss as well as its built-in USB-C wire.
01:14 When retracted, it's a carrying loop.
01:16 Pull it out, and you have a relatively long cable built right in.
01:21 That way you never need to remember to have a cable in order to charge your devices.
01:25 And this is one accessory that no matter where I'm headed, I'm always taking along with
01:29 me.
01:30 Usually priced at $50 for a 10,000 mAh power bank, it's not the cheapest, but we've
01:34 seen this go for as low as $35 for Black Friday, which, for how powerful and reliable this
01:39 is, it makes it a must-have.
01:43 Even though Apple has improved support for game controllers including Xbox and PS5s,
01:47 if you really want to take your mobile gaming to the next level, you're going to want
01:50 to check out the Backbone One.
01:53 We have two colors to choose from, white, which is the PlayStation Edition, and black
01:58 with the A, X, Y, and B buttons, which is the original, but I just call it the Xbox
02:04 Edition.
02:05 The controller's slide open allowing you to slot your phone in where it connects directly
02:08 via USB-C on the right.
02:11 This gives you a very Switch-like gaming experience, or as recently released, the PlayStation
02:16 Portal.
02:17 And even though you're playing on a much smaller screen than those other two options,
02:20 you have a much bigger catalog of games to play or stream.
02:23 And for added convenience, it has USB-C at the bottom for charging and a 3.5mm jack if
02:29 you want to use wired headphones.
02:31 Unlike traditional controllers, this does require your phone to be docked in order to
02:34 work, and if you have larger hands, the controls may feel a little bit small or cramped, but
02:40 in my opinion, something that's this compact, it's hard to beat.
02:45 And even when paired with this optional hard-carrying case, it's still smaller than a traditional
02:50 controller.
02:51 It normally costs a penny shy of $100, but for Black Friday, you can pick it up for just
02:54 $69.99.
02:55 And so if you have any friends or family that are big into mobile gaming, this is one of
03:00 the best gifts you can get them.
03:03 With iOS 17, we got a few cool new updates, including standby mode.
03:07 And although this feature does work with a wired connection, there's something magical
03:12 about doing it wirelessly.
03:14 One of the newest wireless charging stands comes from Belkin with the Boost Charge 15W
03:19 BlackSafe 2-in-1.
03:20 This does officially release in a few weeks, but it finds its way to our list because of
03:24 its fresh design.
03:25 Unlike most other wireless charging stands that honestly are a bit of an eyesore when
03:29 not in use, the Belkin instead has a soft and rounded silicone finish that comes in
03:34 either this eggshell or a gray color.
03:37 And in my opinion, it does a really good job at hiding the fact that it's a stand because
03:41 when not in use, you fold this back and you don't really know what this is, but it certainly
03:47 doesn't look ugly.
03:48 The other thing that I quickly noticed about this is that this has some really good weight
03:52 to it.
03:53 So you place it on your desk, it stays in its spot pretty well that even when you're
03:58 aggressively placing or removing your phone on here, it's not going to move around a lot.
04:03 This is a 2-in-1 meaning that you can charge your phone and your watch simultaneously.
04:08 But unlike most other 2-in-1s, you can also charge your AirPods.
04:13 Granted you can't do all three at the same time, but I really do love this design.
04:18 Now at $130, this is a very premium choice and you can certainly find a lot of other
04:22 two and even three-in-one chargers for much less.
04:26 But if you're like me and you're a minimalist, you like that high quality and built to last
04:29 finish, then you're going to love this choice.
04:32 On the other hand, if you're on a tighter budget and you want more of a traditional
04:35 design but still high quality, then you have the Sitachi 2-in-1 Magnetic Charging Stand.
04:41 It's white, silver and brushed metal are all complimented very well.
04:46 The downside here though is that this only supports your phone and your AirPods, but
04:51 no Apple Watch.
04:52 So if you do have an Apple Watch, this might not be the best choice for you.
04:56 Additionally, charging speeds aren't as fast as the 15 watts offered by Belkin, but then
05:01 again, this is half the price.
05:07 Next up, we've got the smallest accessory on our list, but still crazy useful.
05:11 This is the AirFly Pro.
05:12 With the AirFly Pro Bluetooth transmitter and receiver, you can connect up to two AirPods
05:17 or other Bluetooth headphones at the same time to otherwise only wired devices like
05:22 airplane screens, as it's in the name, as well as like gym equipment and TVs.
05:27 But here's the other really cool thing.
05:28 Even with newer devices like my MacBook here, which of course support Bluetooth, if you
05:32 plug one of these in, you can listen to or watch the same thing on two different AirPods
05:38 or other Bluetooth headphones.
05:40 And then of course, because this is also a receiver, you can plug this into other hardware,
05:44 whether it's wired speakers, an old car stereo system, and then you can transmit your audio
05:48 from your phone to those in order to listen to your music wirelessly.
05:52 You can pick one of these up in white or black for $54.99.
05:58 Now returning to that Anker Nano that I just showed you, what if we added a wall charger
06:02 to it?
06:03 Well, that's exactly what this two-in-one hybrid charger is.
06:06 It has the same 10,000 milliamp battery, but with a 65 watt wall charger built in.
06:12 Now as you can imagine, this does add a considerable amount of weight and size to the Nano, but
06:17 if you're already planning on carrying a power brick as well as an all-in-one solution that
06:22 has a power bank and a charger that can charge basically all of my devices, including this
06:27 MacBook, this thing is awesome.
06:32 When Apple announced that the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max were getting native log video recording,
06:36 I was super excited.
06:38 The ProRes log that you can capture with this is incredible.
06:42 There's one downside though.
06:43 The files are absolutely massive.
06:45 One minute of 4K 30 frames per second takes about six gigabytes of storage, which is why
06:50 you may want to pick up one of these external SSDs like this Crucial X6 2TB that I have,
06:56 as iPhones now support recording directly to external sources.
07:00 For its speed, size, and reliability, this is one of the best choices under $100, not
07:05 to mention for under $80 where this is pretty much the only brand name that you can find
07:10 today.
07:15 And now to wrap this video up, we have the AirPods Pro 2, something that we've seen make
07:21 its way into this video a few times already.
07:23 Now, honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first when upgrading to the AirPods Pro 2 from the
07:27 AirPods Pro.
07:29 Sound quality hasn't really changed, but there's a few other updates that make this
07:33 my favorite pair of earbuds.
07:35 Aside from increasing its battery life from four and a half hours to six hours, its noise
07:39 cancellation is way better when I'm commuting throughout the city.
07:42 And also when I've got these in, I'm at work, I'm down the street, I'm trying to talk to
07:47 someone, I no longer have to take these out as much just to hear what the other person
07:51 is saying.
07:52 And because of how small and easy this is to lose, we now have Apple Find My built in
07:56 as well as a speaker, which helps you relocate these much more quickly.
08:00 Of course, quick pairing between your iPhone, your MacBook and your other Apple devices
08:04 is the cherry on top.
08:06 These are usually $250, but they're $60 off now bringing the price down to $189.99, which
08:14 for what this offers makes this an exceptional deal at under $200.
08:20 So these are some of my favorite iPhone accessories and some of the best deals that you can get
08:24 ahead of Black Friday, 2023.
08:26 Let me know which of these have been your favorite or if you're picking any of these
08:29 up for yourself or someone else.
