A new orchid hybrid named after the Prime Minister’s wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, was introduced during the launch of Orkid Putrajaya 2023 on Thursday (Dec 14).

Called Dendrobium Dr. Wan Aziza, the flower, which has five curled sepals and brown-reddish

labellum with a white centre, was introduced during the launch of Orchid Putrajaya 2023

It is a hybrid between Dendrobium Pinang 'Little Magic' and Dendrobium 'Sia Koko'.

about 20 VIP orchids in the indoor orchid gallery and the seven-day event targets 100,000 visitors.
