00:08 More than 300 Filipinos from Israel have returned to the country after being trapped in a battle between Hamas and Israel.

00:23 Aida Andajera Santiago, a hotel worker, and Ronnie Compay Basco, a caregiver, have finally rested in their country from Israel.

00:33 Basco is excited for Christmas because it's his last Christmas in the Philippines.

00:39 It's been five years.

00:41 When we went out of the gate, I saw the "Welcome Home" sign of OWA.

00:46 I suddenly felt emotional. I cried. They saw the emotion that came to me.

00:55 I can't describe what I felt.

01:01 They are among the 27 OFW who escaped the chaos of the battle between Hamas and Israel two months ago.

01:11 I'm so happy that my family can be together again for Christmas. We are safe again.

01:18 I was in Israel for 18 years. This war is the worst I've ever experienced.

01:26 The war, bombs, sirens, you don't know if you can handle the bombs you hear.

01:36 According to the Department of Migrant Workers, the total number of people who returned home is now 362.

01:43 There are still more to come before December ends.

01:46 Various government agencies have promised to provide financial assistance, training, livelihood, and other things to those who returned home.

01:55 The DMW's action fund has spent more than Php600 million due to the help of OFWs from other countries.

02:05 More than enough, our fund is not an issue. The budget is really a matter of mobilizing the resources.
