00:00 This is a precisely built machine.
00:03 There's nothing like it.
00:05 I could be driving the car for five minutes,
00:10 pull into a store, people have been following me
00:12 for 10 miles just to see the car.
00:15 This is the craziest car on the planet.
00:17 I'm A.J. Bohada, the Mad Metal Scientist,
00:26 and right here is the medieval one.
00:29 This is a hot rod car that we built entirely from scratch.
00:33 It was inspired by a car collector and a weapon collector.
00:37 He collected medieval weaponry and he collected cars,
00:40 so I put the two together.
00:41 This is a precisely built machine
00:45 that's made to look like it's old
00:47 and made to look like it's evil.
00:49 This is the craziest car on the planet.
00:51 This vehicle was probably about $80,000
00:58 just in material.
00:59 The labor, you know what, we didn't count,
01:01 we just had a blast building it.
01:02 The building process started out
01:04 as a 1,000 gallon propane tank.
01:07 We cut it all out and we put it back with 1/16th metal.
01:10 It weighs about the same as a Camaro with 1,000 horsepower.
01:15 This is 671 blower.
01:17 We got a Phytech fuel injection,
01:18 onboard fire extinguisher, tilt steering wheel.
01:21 You don't drive the car like this,
01:23 this tilts all the way back.
01:25 Everything on this car was made from a rack of steel.
01:28 We designed it, we built it, we fabricated it.
01:33 The snakes have fangs in them, we hand carved them.
01:36 Inside there is the purge tube for the nitrous
01:39 that shoots the nitrous oxide out.
01:41 There's 996 scales on each head.
01:44 It took me 40 hours a header,
01:48 individually TIG welded on.
01:50 Our fuel cells have all scales on them too.
01:53 Each scale was handmade and beaten into submission
01:56 with a hammer, as you can see all the pock marks.
01:59 We have a 33 by 19.5 sneakers on the back,
02:03 custom made studs.
02:05 We got a cannon in the back, but it's not really a cannon.
02:08 It's my trunk, I gotta have a place to put my milk.
02:13 It's a medieval car, is it the most wind resistant piece?
02:20 Yeah, it's got a lot of wind resistance.
02:22 Aerodynamic, absolutely not.
02:24 A thousand horsepower and changing tires
02:28 like you're changing your underwear
02:29 'cause we smoke the tires all the time.
02:31 That's what it's all about.
02:32 Here's our nitrous oxide system,
02:36 here's our Fitech fuel injection system.
02:40 We got spiked headlights,
02:42 we got swords that are hand wrapped with leather.
02:46 Here's battle axes over here
02:47 in case you need a weapon when you're getting out.
02:49 This is how you get in the car.
02:51 You lift up the mask to get in
02:53 and then we have a hydraulic override.
02:56 We have the tachometer for the RPM, the oil pressure,
02:58 the amps, the water temperature,
03:00 so we know all the vitals of the car.
03:02 And up inside the car, we have a secondary control panel.
03:07 If you look at the car, the car's not painted, it's clear.
03:10 You know why?
03:11 We don't wanna hide the detail in the car.
03:14 (upbeat music)
03:17 The car has an estimated worth of about $150,000 to $200,000.
03:26 I could be driving the car for five minutes,
03:29 pull into a store, people have been following me
03:31 for 10 miles just to see the car.
03:33 You pull up to a 7-Eleven to get a cup of coffee
03:36 and a helmet, there's nothing like it.
03:38 What's my favorite part of the car?
03:41 Driving it.
03:42 You know why?
03:42 Because we're drawing the attention.
03:44 How many times do you see grandma pull out a phone
03:47 to take a picture of a car?
03:48 Never, but they do with this.
03:50 So my favorite thing about this car
03:51 is just driving around and making people smile.
03:54 (upbeat music)
03:56 Do we plan on building more cars?
04:02 Absolutely, as long as it's wild and crazy.
04:05 If it's gonna be a boring car, I don't wanna do it.
04:08 I want attention.
04:09 I guarantee you, it will be off the charts.
04:13 (upbeat music)
04:15 (rock music)
04:18 (water bubbling)
