00:00 Well, some will fruit earlier in the season, so across the 16 different varieties they

00:05 do tend to come on at different stages throughout the season.

00:09 Some will be very early, some very late.

00:13 In addition to that, there's different colorations of the cherries, so some will ripen to a very

00:19 deep, dark red, almost black, whereas some others will ripen to more of a yellowy orange,

00:27 like these ones.

00:30 These ones here are more of a yellow.

00:33 And then other than that, they will have different flavors.

00:36 Some will be really sweet, some will be a bit more tart.

00:40 And the trees themselves have different growth habits, depending on what variety they are.

00:45 So some will be more spread out, whereas others will be more upright with their growth habit.

00:50 How's the weather looking this year for your harvest?

00:54 Fairly good so far.

00:55 It would be better to get a little bit more sunshine, a little bit more warmth, because

00:59 that will help them ripen up a bit.

01:00 They've been a little bit slow in some ways as to how they've been ripening.

01:05 But we've had a bit of rain come through.

01:09 Rain's the biggest problem, because that'll split the cherries.

01:13 But it hasn't been too wet, all in all.

01:15 Last year was a disaster.

01:17 We had wet, cold weather, and it didn't suit stone fruits at all.

01:23 We were unable to harvest any fruit.

01:29 I'd say this could be potentially the best one that I'll have had.

01:34 The cherries are good.

01:36 There's not much damage to them.

01:41 Most of the fruit's in perfect condition.
