18:15 The answer is something that is called density.

18:17 Everything is made out of tiny particles

18:19 that we can't see.

18:21 A plastic spoon and a metal spoon

18:23 have the same shape and size

18:25 but the particles in the metal spoon

18:27 are closer to each other.

18:29 Water has density also.

18:31 The density of metal is more than the density of water

18:33 so it sinks.

18:35 The density of plastic is less than the density of water

18:37 so the plastic spoon floats.
